Like Father Like Son!
Dr. Mohanji & Dr. Krishnaji have donated a latest Digital Colposcope with video-graphic technology to aid in our ongoing cancer screening outreach programs in Andhra Pradesh. VT Seva's Medical Team and Volunteers are regularly conducting cancer screening projects in community after community to help save lives!
"
We are privileged and blessed to be involved with HH Swamiji's noble missions for many years. Under HH's guidance thousands of volunteers selflessly and tirelessly care for the spiritual and physical well being of those less fortunate than us. We hope that through our small donation, and with the help of a new Colposcope VT Seva's volunteer doctors in India can aid in the early cancer detection and treatment programs for women, and save lives.
We are blessed to be a part of this noble cause. We feel proud to promote this outreach program among our colleagues, friends and families."

Junior at the University of Oklahoma wages penny wars for educating and empowering the blind and tribal students
Hi my name is Risha Musapeta and I am a Junior at the University of Oklahoma.
I have been a part of Volunteering Together for Service for a year now, but this is my first semester fundraising.
I was very fortunate to have a great support group through the amazing members of Alpha Phi Omega Delta Beta Chapter.
Alpha Phi Omega is a co-ed service fraternity based on community service of which I am a part.
With their help, I was able to establish Volunteering Together for Service at OU.
For my first fundraising event, I decided to start a penny wars in between the members of APO.
We are split into three different families the Alphas, Phis, and Omegas and there is an intense rivalry between the families!
The rules of the game were that one member from each family is chosen to represent their team.
The winning family gets to challenge or make the representative from the losing family do something funny in front of the chapter.
Throughout the semester the members donate their change to each of the families designated containers.
In order to determine who wins the points are set up as such:
1 cent = +1 point
$1 = +100 points
$5 = +500 points
$10 = +1000 points
5 cents = -5 points
10 cents = -10 points
25 cents = -25 points
Penny wars has been very successful and we have raised a good amount of money for Volunteering Together for Service in a short amount of time!
Learn with fun and volunteer together for service
Inspired by VT Seva founder Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji’s call “volunteer together for service” during VT Seva awareness event in Dallas on June 8th 2009, Ms. Sumana Garlapati & Ms. Manjula Muppidi have come forward to volunteer their time and talents for serving the children. They conducted a
2 month "Learn with
Fun" summer camp for children and planned on contributing 70% of its proceeds to VT Seva services. The summer camp was aimed at engaging Dallas children & youngsters in learning various things with creative ideas & fun filled activities.
True to their volunteer spirit and belief in the cause of VT Seva, some parents of the enrolled students encouraged them by pledging donations other than enrolment fees. Although the volunteers initially planned on contributing 70% of the proceeds (which it self is a big number), they have decided now to give
100% of the proceeds to VT Seva. They also plan on volunteering at grass root project level during their next visit to India. Through their acts of volunteerism and fund raising, they have made a big difference in the lives of blind children through VT Seva.
In own words of the volunteers, Ms. Sumana Garlapati & Ms. Manjula Muppidi -

We got a volunteer opportunity this summer through ‘Learn with Fun’ program. We have started it with the intention of providing support to educate the underprivileged by utilizing our time and efforts in a constructive manner. The program was planned in a way where the children would cultivate good behavior; develop strong Math, Geography & Science skills; have hands on Arts & Crafts training;
learn story telling in an interactive way and through visual media etc depending
on their ability and age. We strived to create friendly environment for the kids
with lots of educational games and fun.
Developing a summer camp program for children involved lot of research and care because we believed that the camp experience will have a significant impact on child's life.
It turned out to be a wonderful experience where the children exceeded their parent expectations regarding their learning.
At the same time we the volunteers learned many things from them. We have great memories from this camp which we would cherish for a long time.

Overall, it was a great experience for the children and us as it involved adventures, fun, friends and unique learning activities.
It was a good mix of work and play. The children enjoyed every moment in the classroom and played different outdoor games.
We demonstrated the moral values through caring, sharing, loving and respect. Children’s personalities grew through our fun program.
Parents and other VT Seva volunteers’ encouragement and support gave us the continuous energy.
Each day children were more enthusiastic and zealous to be come back next day. The parents have requested us to extend the camp for couple more weeks and some of them have expressed their interest in enrolling the kids for next summer also.
If time and health permits, we look forward for a similar experience next year with more kids, more creative ideas for full day summer camp. We also raised funds by making fancy hand stitched embroidered vanity bags and winter scarves for the summer program kids.
This kind of service gave us so much satisfaction which cannot be put into words.
We hope that sharing our experiences will encourage more volunteers to come forward and contribute their time and talents.
We successfully completed the program with the inspiration given to us by Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji.
Parents about the program -
This was my daughter's first summer school. She just loved it so much. Teachers Sumana and Manjula were very caring, affectionate and responsible. The materials that were provided to Kids were very useful & different and my kid learnt that with fun unlike a regular academic. That was their plus point.
They sent us weekly updates on what each Kid learnt that week which helped me to know how my Kid was progressing. Not only these they taught real life values, manners, our traditions in form of stories and pictures & lot more to say. Hats off to both the volunteers and we encourage this every year...
Thank you,
Chaithanya (Parent of Shriya)
My son was blessed with the 'Learn with fun' summer program for a month. He had a great experience here. I really wish they could do this every year, so that the kids can have good time and at the same time learn about our ethnicity and virtues. This was different program when compared to other camps he attended
Thanks a lot to the "Learn with fun" team.
Regards,
Mahalakshmi (Parent of Theju)
After the performance of the kids, I wanted to say "Thanks".
Arnav totally enjoyed your company...
