VT Seva (Volunteering Together for Service) and its Sister Organizations Disaster Relief Highlights:

  • 2016 - Raised $30,388.95 to support immediate and long term relief operations during Chennai / Cuddalore floods
  • 2015 - Donated $10,001 to support 1000 year flood 'Joaquin' in South Carolina.
  • 2015 -Nepal Earthquake Relief - Raised $171,043 towards providing immediate relief of tents and blankets, and long term support of building a permanent structure school, with all the infrastructure needed for better education.
  • 2014 - Andhra Pradesh (India) Hudhud Cyclone Relief - Raised more than $30,000 USD and donated Rs. 10 lakhs ($17,000) for Chief Minister relief operations, volunteers distributed food & clothes for the people impacted
  • 2013 - Odisha (India) Phailin Cyclone Relief - Donated Lanterns (kerosene Lamps) to 600 families at Ganga Vihar, Kotha Buxipalli village
  • 2013 - Uttarakhand Floods (India) - Provided food and shelter to the people affected by floods in Himalayas
  • 2011 Japan Tsunami Relief - Donated ~$44,000 USD to Japan Government
  • 2010 Haiti Relief - VT Seva volunteers organized benefit shows, art exhibitions and participated in dance programs to raise funds for victims of the Earthquake and donated funds to UNICEF Haiti.
  • 2009 Andhra Pradesh Floods -
    • 5000 Flood Relief Kits, Flood relief kits to 10000 Families in 100 Villages
    • 300 Boats to Fishermen, Food and Free Medical Services​
    • Distributed 20Tons of Corn seeds worth of $100,000 to the Farmers(sufficient for 2500 Acre)
  • 2004 India Tsunami (Tamil Nadu & Andhra Pradesh) - Built a School for children of fishermen children at Katarivaripalem in Prakasam District of Andhra Pradesh and Built 50 houses in the coastal areas of Pumpuhar village in Tamil Nadu.
  • 2001 India Earth Quake (Gujarat) - Built 86 Houses and a community hall in Vallabhapur, Gujarat
  • 1997 India Konaseema Floods (Andhra Pradesh) - Built 83 Community Centers, provided free food and medical services

As the monster storm neared, about 6.5 million people were under mandatory and voluntarily evacuation orders. Evacuations were ordered in Florida , Georgia and South Carolina as well.
VT Seva (Volunteering Together for Service) is working to provide immediate and long term disaster relief to the affected. As of now, we are collecting only cash donations to aid the victims. Stay tuned on updates from us about providing food, shelter, medical help and recovery measures.  We have proven record of stepping up and responding to many natural disasters in USA and elsewhere in the world.

VT Seva Volunteers in Atlanta Helping the people who moved from Florida due to Huricane IRMA


VT Seva Atlanta is one of the very first organizations who responded to face Hurricane IRMA . Partnered with American Telugu Association. VT Seva volunteers welcomed people who came from Miami FL, Tampa FL. From Sep 7th, Thursday to 12th , VT Seva volunteers served meals at Taste of India banquet hall Volunteers served more than 1500 meals, also helped in setting up the place and cleaning-up after food is served. Volunteers also hosted people who came from Miami,Tampa . Volunteers demonstrated a great commitment to SEVA and were caring and served the affected people with a sense of compassion and dedication, which was highly appreciated by all.
