Presidents volunteer service award
Jai Srimannarayana! My name is Anjali Vellanki, and I am currently a sophomore in high school (10th grade). I have been part of VTSEVA since my middle school years, and I couldn't be more grateful for the opportunities and exposure it has given me. Participating in the volunteering not only has taught me how important it is to give back to the community to make a difference, but it has also brought me closer to my culture and heritage.
One of my favorite volunteering activities is working in soup kitchens. Being able to personally interact with those I am helping and serving is a very motivating and moving experience. It makes me realize, even as an individual, I have the ability to make an impact on the community.
A big thank you to Jamuna Aunty and Ananth Uncle for allowing me to be part of the VT Community, and I hope to contribute to the community for many, many years to come.
