My name is Ekta Karkala and I am a senior at Saint Francis High School. Outside of school, I enjoy teaching music classes at FCSN, playing competitive golf, and spending time with my family.

One of my favorite aspects of VT Seva is the diversity of activities that youth volunteers are able to participate in. From helping protect the environment to building playhouses for low-income families, encouraging a variety of service opportunities allows volunteers to develop passions for different social causes while learning how to impact their own communities.

Volunteering among students who are equally passionate about improving the community is something that inspires me to be a part of VT Seva. Being able to collaborate and develop friendships with other volunteers adds another dimension to the many benefits of service.
