Throughout the past couple of years, volunteering with VT SEVA has given me the opportunity to give back to my community, while allowing me to develop important communication, collaboration, and organization skills for the near future. From packing the brown bag lunches, serving in Soup Kitchens, to Environment awareness programs, cancer walkathons to visiting the tribal schools in India, being a part of the VT Community has shown me that giving back to the global community is limitless. One of my favorite volunteering activities has been the annual Vasantham event. Being able to raise money for underprivileged kids and visually challenged kids, and share my volunteering experiences with VT SEVA through presentations and interactions, has always been a rewarding experience. Working with a team of dedicated individuals towards a greater cause has not only motivated my volunteering throughout high-school but has also pushed me to explore international development and global policy in college. To me, I am motivated to volunteer because of the great reward it poses to the people in need, and I cannot thank VT SEVA for molding me as the person I am today. I also thank Jamuna aunty and Ananth Uncle for providing me with the opportunities and to be part of the VT Community.
