Hi my name is Yashita Tanwar, I go to Newport High School in Bellevue, WA. I have been a volunteer with VTSeva since I was very young. From volunteering at northwest harvest and cooking food for the homeless in Seattle, I am now part of the VTS Seattle Executive board! I served as the secretary for 2 years, and am now the assistant vice president. VTSeva has given me many opportunities to give back to the community, while also working with an amazing group of people that are always supporting each other. VTSeva has opened so many doors for me with the multiple varieties of projects we have. For example I get to use my hobbies like dance to make an impact. I have also gotten the opportunity of going on the VTSeva Internship to India! I got to see the schools and the kids that we are supporting here, its was a once in a lifetime experience that will always remain special in my heart. I truly do thank VTSeva for giving me these amazing opportunities and I hope to continue that way.
