Letters to Seniors this month was an online activity that we used in order to send love to the elders in our community. We asked our youth volunteers to make and send letters to these seniors in our community, to cheer them up and have a good day.

VT Seva Dallas participated at Feed My Starving Children Food bank sorting and Packing volunteering activity on Saturday- June 3rd Kudos to all the youth and Adult volunteers(around 40)who were part of this activity. All the packed food are for the underprivileged kids in Kenya, Haiti, Thailand and Chili countries. Volunteers packed nutritious food (Rice, Soy, dried Vegetables and Vitamin protein powder) into 94 boxes that makes 20,304 meals. Great job volunteers. Keep up the volunteering spirit. Special mention to adult lead -Mrs. Gunjan and Youth lead Devayani for leading this effort!

The brown bag activity is an activity in which we package food for those who need it. We donate fruits, bars, and a burrito to homeless shelters to give them a meal for the day, helping them out in this way, so they do not become neglected.

VTS DETROIT Youth Board members attended a webinar given Resource Recovery and Recycling Authority of Southwest Oakland County (RRRASOC) an intergovernmental, municipal solid waste authority on RECYCLING to learn about how we can contribute to preserve our precious Earth and what we can do to contribute to effectively implement the three Rs.

We had a lovely yoga session on Saturday morning led by a certified yoga instructor. Weather was just perfect. Thank you to all those who were able to make it to celebrate Yoga Day.

Shakerag Park Cleanup 2023 VT Seva Northview youths took the initiative to adopt Shakerag park and lend a hand in cleaning it, bringing Atlanta one step closer to being clean, green, and serene! This park clean up event attracted over 40 Atlanta youths, who all teamed up to pick up trash laying around. Atlanta youths once again went above and beyond in exhibiting their leadership skills by showing how deeply they cared for their very own mother nature. The third meeting for the VT Seva exhibit event also took place at this park. This exhibit was an opportunity to showcase everything that the Atlanta Branch of VT Seva accomplished over the past few years to the highly respected Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji, CEO of VT Seva, who graced Atlanta with his presence on July 19th, 2023. Youths expressed a deep interest in being a part of displaying what all VT Seva Atlanta achieved to his holiness. Groups were finalized regarding who would present on what, ranging from the highly successful blankets for the homeless initiative to the high impact summer camp for younger children to make productive use of their summer. Overall, this park clean up event was a hit!

Chicago Volunteers had a amazing fundraising event at the Farmers Market in Buffalo Grove last Sunday, June 25. In gratitude for donors contributions, we offered thank-you gifts such as plants, cookies, and brownie brittle. During the event, a reporter from Capital Gazette approached us and expressed interest in writing an article about VTSeva. We're thrilled to share that we raised $183.83 for NethraVidyalaya and $97.88 for local food pantries. Our appreciation goes out to all the generous donors and dedicated volunteers who made this success possible.

We concluded an amazing high-energy 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯 𝟰𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗩𝗧 𝗦𝗲𝘃𝗮 '𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲'' tournament successfully! With the funds raised in this tournament, we can support the education of 𝟏𝟐 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧 of Nethra Vidyalaya school for the entire year. The players, referees, volunteers, viewers/supporters, and parents were simply FABULOUS supporting the cause. The games were played with the right spirit and attitude from the beginning to the end. The game coordinators and timekeepers were extremely diligent in ensuring the scores and timings are kept as per schedule. The event would not have been a grand success without the valuable contributions of VT Seva Volunteers.Hours of prep work went into making this a successful event.
