VTSeva Austin adopted a park and has been cleaning for a year. Not just the community benefited by the cleanup, our volunteers got a chance to explore different habitats of the park.Learnt about different interesting plants that grows. Kids every visit enjoyed playing with "Touch me NOT" plant while cleaning the park to let enjoy the community peacefully.

Second harvest heartland has a mission that no one should go hungry. 31 of our VT Seva MN volunteers came together for 1.5 hours to create 5766 meals today! Kudos to all our volunteers for the efforts!

From April 5-6, 2023, Lambert VT Seva students volunteered at the St. Vincent de Paul thrift store. This thrift store allows the needy to have access to clothes and other products FOR FREE. Many products are kindly donated, and the products in good condition are put out for sale. We are glad to have helped out there; the store was very neat and orderly. It also had a wide variety of good quality products. When volunteering there, we volunteered in small groups for 2 hours each. Everyone was given various tasks to help keep the store in order. Some of the things we did were vacuuming the floor, rearranging products, tagging clothes, steaming the clothes, taking out the trash, helping at the front desk, etc. It was a very unique and fun experience!

Books are the main source of knowledge. Sharing books is a great way to spread the spirit and joy of reading. Our Minneapolis VT Seva volunteers have collected around 1000 books to be donated for "Books for Africa". This organization works towards the vision of helping all children read in every African country to promote literacy! Kudos to the entire team for making this possible! 🚀🚀🚀

Overall, Atlanta youths had a great interactive session where they got the insights on waste water treatment process, dewatering, recycling, wastewater landscape and much more… We have build good relationship & partnership with the Johns creek environmental officials and they were thrilled to see our youths participation and feedback from the last tour. We all had fun, got color changing water bottles as a gift from them, and went home with some really good take-homes. As a VT Seva team, we gave them VT Seva Calendar, Brochure, and hand-made Thank you cards. They have never heard about VT Seva before, but now it’s in their minds and they want our youths to come forward and collaborate & help them in their research projects.

The book drive was conducted to support the local community in Charlotte. The volunteers set up a booth to collect new and gently used books. The overall drive was a huge success, the volunteers collected a total 450 books. They were then driven to the shelter and handed out. It was very heartwarming to see how many people were in need of a basic necessity such as books. Overall, it was a very heartwarming experience that the volunteers are looking forward to conducting such events again.

On April 1st 2023, at the Sita Rama Kalyanam hosted by JET Cary, our volunteers have done an outstanding job by setting up for the event, helping at the registration desk, managing the flow of the devotees, packing and distributing prasadam and the clean up after the event. They have spent around 7 hours volunteering at the auspicious event. Kudos to our VT Seva Cary Volunteers for their tremendous effort.

VT Seva Detroit Volunteers had another enriching day on 04/01/2023 at the Ford Welness Center helping out Destined for Greatness Community Resource Center. *11 volunteers participated in volunteering their time and efforts who did a great job in giving back to the community. These are some of the activities done by the team: 1. Sorted the diapers and arranged them in bags based on their sizes to free up boxes. 2. The books were sorted and boxed based on reading levels of the kids 3. Store Room was sorted, organized, and all text books arranged in bins based on their Grade Levels 4. Easter items were cleaned up and stored in the store room 5. The locker rooms were cleaned well & all the clothes were sorted and arranged peoperly 6. Moved many items from across the building, bagged and arranged in storage area 7. Broke down the cardboard boxes for trash 8. Finally, folded all big tables, cleared the trash, and cleaned up the gym area.

"When women is healthy, society and country flourishes" VTSeva Austin 5K for Breast cancer awareness walk. It was wonderful seeing the community Youth, men, and women all running for one cause to keep HER healthy.

The brown bag activity is an activity in which we package food for those who need it. We donate fruits, bars, and a burrito to homeless shelters to give them a meal for the day, helping them out in this way, so they do not become neglected.
