Illuminating Opportunities: General Motors Grants Empower Visually Challenged Education

Updated: Sep 29, 2023

We are thrilled to announce a significant stride forward in our mission to empower visually challenged education. VT Seva is honored to share that we have been awarded a grant from General Motors Austin location, a testament to their commitment to fostering inclusive education and societal progress.

With immense gratitude, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to General Motors for their generous grant of $20,000, which is driving us closer to our vision of creating a dynamic listening space at the Texas School for Blind and Visually Impaired (TSBVI).

This transformative project named "Real Voice" is dedicated to enhancing the blind reading abilities of visually impaired students, enabling them to dive into the world of literature, knowledge, and imagination listening to the audio books recorded by the VT Seva young volunteers in an entirely new way.

General Motors' unwavering support not only fuels this exciting initiative but also resonates with our shared commitment to empowering individuals and building an inclusive future.

We are deeply grateful to General Motors for their belief in our mission and their partnership in creating a world where every individual, regardless of their abilities, has equal access to education. This grant exemplifies the positive change that can happen when businesses and nonprofits join forces to address societal needs.

Stay tuned as we embark on this journey of VT Seva Listening corner at TSBVI Library.

We can't wait to keep you updated on the progress of our listening space and the incredible impact it's bound to make. Thank you, General Motors, for partnering with us to light up the path to literacy and transform the lives of visually impaired students. Together, we're shaping a brighter, more inclusive tomorrow!
