Badminton TOURNAMENT
Cary
March 11, 2023 at 12:00:00 AM
A successful fundraising event starts with a spark of inspiration, followed by the drive to make it happen. We, the VT Seva Cary organized a successful Badminton fundraising event at the Triangle Badminton Club in Morrisville, NC. The funds were raised to support the Visually Challenged kids at Netra Vidyalaya, India for their education. The event was inaugurated by the Board of Cary on March 12th, 2023, 2 PM @The Triangle Badminton Club to support the great initiative. VT Seva Cary put in tremendous work in the background to make this event a huge success by creating campaigning video, putting in the pamphlets at the community events for awareness, registration process, forming the teams, arranging the snacks, and finalizing the prize distribution. We had over 70 badminton players rooting for the noble cause to support the visually challenged kids. This includes youth and adult players. Thank you to all the VT Seva Cary board of directors for the support, youth board members, youth volunteers, parents, and players to make this event successful. Prizes were distributed to the winners by Dr. Rukmini, Member of Vikasatarangini, India followed by other members.

WALKATHON

Cary
April 6, 2024 at 12:00:00 AM
To support VT SEVA Cary’s core mission of supporting the education of visually challenged children, our volunteers hosted and participated in a Walkathon fundraiser. During this fundraising event, both youth and adult volunteers provided exceptional support to the runners, and spread awareness of VT SEVA’s mission. Our 22 youth volunteers specifically spread awareness and information about the Walkathon to garner support for its cause, while other youth volunteers volunteered at the event as checkpoint volunteers, and water/gatorade station volunteers. Our 20 adult volunteers provided equal support with their help with the set up/clean up, and guiding the runners along with the youth. All together, our volunteers contributed greatly to the success of this event, and did an amazing job in their roles!

VT Seva Lambert Mask Making Project
Atlanta
November 12, 2021 at 12:00:00 AM
VT Seva Lambert youth members believe in positivism and humanism in the midst of the pandemic landscape. The path we have taken to accomplish this goal is to make sure everyone has masks. Many hospitals ran out of masks during the pandemic. To help them, VT Seva youth have spent hours stitching handmade cloth masks. Many of the volunteers had never even touched a sewing machine before. They spent hours learning how to use a sewing machine and then stitched over 10,000 handmade masks from 2020-2021. The majority of these masks have been donated to the special needs kids of the Laurel Heights Hospital. It’s a kid-to-kid project. VT Seva Atlanta Lambert Youth Club members are making cloth masks and donating it to raise funds for the education of 10 visually challenged kids in India. It’s like the Girls Scout cookie project (instead of cookies, they are selling masks). Whether helping Special Needs kids of the Laurel Heights Hospital Atlanta or Visually Challenged kids of Nethra Vidyalaya, Atlanta VT Seva youth are always there in the fore font for service.
