VT Seva Cary proudly continued its fall service partnership with the Miracle League. <<Insert number of volunteers>>enthusiastic youth volunteers came together to support this incredible initiative, which gives children with special needs the chance to experience the joy of playing baseball in an inclusive environment. The Miracle League’s mission is to break down barriers and create spaces where every child can participate and thrive. Through its thoughtful buddy system, each child is paired with a volunteer, fostering meaningful friendships and unforgettable moments on the field. This program serves children with physical or developmental disabilities who may not have access to traditional sports leagues. Our volunteers brought energy, compassion, and encouragement to the game, helping create a day filled with smiles, teamwork, and connection. VT Seva Cary is honored to support this mission and looks forward to continuing our involvement throughout the season. Together, we are building a community where every child feels seen, supported, and celebrated.

On April 22, members of the VTS Club at Troy High School honored Disabled American Veterans (DAV) by handcrafting small tribute flowers. This meaningful gesture showed appreciation for the brave service and sacrifice of our nation’s veterans.

Our Austin youth board has conducted a high school guidance program to help the middle schoolers in selecting their courses for highschool . This was organized by jr and sr highschoolers to educate the parents and middle and freshman highschoolers .

On April 27, VT Seva Houston youth volunteers supported a blood drive hosted by MD Anderson Cancer Center at the Sri Ashtalakshmi Temple in Sugar Land. The event, held from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM, saw strong community participation, with 27 donors helping impact over 65 lives. VT Seva volunteers played a key role in organizing, registering donors, and ensuring the event ran smoothly. VT Seva Houston thanks all donors and volunteers for making the drive a success!

𝗢𝗻 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟮𝟳𝘁𝗵, VT Seva Atlanta held its blood donation drive, uniting the community for a life-saving cause❤️. The event saw enthusiastic participation, 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝟮𝟱 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 - 𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝟴 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁-𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟭𝟳 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀. On the final day of the Sanskriti event, VT Seva Cary volunteers wrapped up their weekend of service by once again assisting in essential event functions. Their dedication throughout the multi-day event demonstrated their reliability and commitment to cultural service.

Happy Earth Month! In appreciation for our planet, Seattle VTSeva volunteers got together to celebrate by planting and tending to the nature in our local gardens! Volunteers planted leeks and used companion planting to help nearby plants grow stronger by pairing them with helpful plant species. Our volunteers also learned about the Olla watering system, using clay pots in mud to effectively conserve and water nearby plants. With compost made from bamboo shoots, grass clippings, and dried branches, we helped nourish the Earth from the roots up. Let’s take a moment to appreciate our planet and find our own way to give back whether it's through planting, enjoying the beauty around us, or making small changes to live more sustainably!

This Arbor Day, VTSEVA volunteers gathered at Overfelt Park in San Jose to take part in a special tree planting event hosted by Our City Forest. From digging and planting to mulching and watering, our team worked together to honor the spirit of Arbor Day and make a lasting impact on our environment. The event was filled with energy, collaboration, and a shared passion for protecting and nurturing our planet. By planting trees and supporting sustainability efforts, we celebrated the power of community action and took meaningful steps toward a greener future.

VTSEVA volunteers recently participated in a community service project at the Alameda County Community Food Bank, an organization that distributes essential food supplies to families and individuals across the region. During the event, our volunteers worked alongside members from several other local organizations to sort, package, and organize food items into bags, preparing them for distribution. Through teamwork, efficiency, and dedication, we were able to pack a significant amount of food and meals, helping to support those facing food insecurity. It was a meaningful opportunity for our volunteers to give back, connect with the broader community, and contribute to a cause that makes a real difference in people's lives.
