VT Seva Seattle UTSAV 2025 - Annual Fundraiser

Join us for Utsav 2025, our annual fundraiser celebrating empathy and resilience. Together, we support Jeeyar Gurukulam and Nethra Vidyalaya, schools that provide free education and boarding to visually challenged and underprivileged children in India. From a handful of tribal Thandas to nearly 25 villages today, this effort has created lasting generational change—thanks to your continued generosity.

Clothing Upcycling Event

*VT Seva Maryland Environmental Branch Hosts Successful Clothing Upcycling Event!* VT Seva Maryland Team was thrilled to share the success of our inaugural clothing upcycling event held on March 9th, 2025, at the Urbana Regional Library! 3D Workshop

𝐎𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟗𝐭𝐡, 𝐕𝐓 𝐒𝐞𝐯𝐚 𝐀𝐭𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚 Lambert High School youth leaders hosted an educational workshop on 3𝑫 𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒆𝒓 𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒃𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒔. This event marked the first in a series of workshops focused on these cutting-edge technologies, with 𝟐𝟗 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟏𝟎 𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠. During the workshop, participants were introduced to the history of 3D printing and laser engraving, as well as how these technologies are applied 𝙖𝙘𝙧𝙤𝙨𝙨 𝙫𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙤𝙪𝙨 𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙨𝙪𝙘𝙝 𝙖𝙨 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙚 🩺, 𝙟𝙚𝙬𝙚𝙡𝙧𝙮 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 💎, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙮 🍛. The session also explored innovative ways in which 3D printing can contribute to sustainability by recycling and repurposing plastic waste 🍶, including bottles and other forms of plastic. The laser engraving segment covered important safety precautions, types of laser engraving and cutting methods, and the fascinating process of layering colors to create intricate artwork. Additionally, attendees were inspired by a presentation on 3𝘿 𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙣 𝘼𝙚𝙧𝙤𝙨𝙥𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝙀𝙣𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 🛰️, 𝙙𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙗𝙮 𝙖 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙂𝙚𝙤𝙧𝙜𝙞𝙖 𝙄𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙪𝙩𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙏𝙚𝙘𝙝𝙣𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙮 (𝙂𝘼 𝙏𝙚𝙘𝙝), who shared exciting current and future projects using 3D printing concepts. The workshop concluded with a hands-on experience where participants got to witness live 3D printing in action and explore a variety of 3D printed and laser-engraved products. To close the event, the Lambert youth leaders launched the𝐀𝐫𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐂𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞’ 𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 🎨, 𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 $𝟑𝟓 for the education of Nethra students. Their goal is to raise funds 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐚 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬s, and so far, they have raised a total of $195. It’s 𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒃𝒍𝒚 𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒑𝒊𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒆𝒆 𝒉𝒐𝒘 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑳𝒂𝒎𝒃𝒆𝒓𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒉 are tirelessly working to empower their Nethra friends and make a difference! ✌️✌️✌️

Buena Vista Neighborhood Volunteering

VTSEVA volunteers worked with Mayor Mahan's office in Buena Vista to help beautify San Jose. They painted benches and made the monotonous polls look vibrant by painting them with bright colors.

On March 8th, 2025 VT Seva Houston dedicated their evening to volunteering at the Houston Food Bank from 12 to 4 pm, assisting with packaging stew bags and sorting rice bags. Over the course of four hours, our volunteers successfully packed 5 pallets of stew bags and 80 boxes of rice, totaling 1,040 bags and 6,080 pounds—equivalent to approximately 5,066 meals.

Basura Bash Volunteering

San Antonio youth and adult volunteers participated in Basura Bash on Mar 8th, 2025. Basura Bash is San Antonio's large, annual volunteer-driven event focused on cleaning up the city's creeks, rivers, and waterways, removing tons of trash from the San Antonio watershed, involving thousands of volunteers, and promoting responsible cleanup and recycling of litter like bottles, styrofoam, and plastic. We appreciate all our volunteers who showed up on this cold morning to beautify local water sources supporting our commitment to preserve environment.

Volunteering @Run at Peak

VT Seva Cary – Run the Peak (March 8, 2025) On March 8th, VT Seva Cary volunteers supported a vibrant community event organized by the Apex Chamber of Commerce. The event, known as Run the Peak, featured 5K and 10K races with scenic routes winding through many historic areas of Apex. Our team of 4 youth volunteers and 1 adult volunteer played a vital role in ensuring participants stayed hydrated throughout their run. With cheerful smiles and encouraging words, they handed out water and boosted the spirits of runners as they pushed through the course. 💙 Beyond hydration, our volunteers contributed to the welcoming atmosphere of the event—showing that even small acts of service can make a big difference in the success of a community gathering. Their presence reflected VT Seva Cary’s commitment to supporting local initiatives, fostering wellness, and building stronger community connections. This collaboration with the Apex Chamber of Commerce not only highlighted the importance of volunteerism in community events but also gave our youth a chance to experience teamwork, responsibility, and the joy of serving in a lively public setting

Atlanta Science Festival

Atlanta VTS youth participated in the 𝟏𝟐𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐭𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟖, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓. The festival is currently underway through March 22, offering 140 exciting events for both children and adults! Georgia Tech has organized this festival with engaging hands-on activities for all ages, covering a wide range of topics, including robotics, biology, space, art, and more. It’s great that VT Seva Atlanta is fostering curiosity and creativity among youth, providing them with hands-on experiences that will help shape their understanding of science & innovation and motivate them to build models for the welfare of the community!

The Place Volunteering: West Forsyth High School

On March 8th, about 10 members team from West Forsyth High School VT Seva Youth Club did amazing service at The Place at Forsyth. The Place is an organization that relies on donations from outsiders, and they repurpose old clothes, furniture, accessories, appliances, and more to sell in their thrift store. Then, anyone, including underprivileged families can come and buy things for very affordable prices. The organization also sponsors and helps out families that are in need and struggling. Today, our team of volunteers made a big impact by sorting through many bags of clothes to go in the thrift store. It was a successful day!

VTS DET YB 2025 Open Door Ministries Food Pantry Volunteering

On 6th Mar 2025, VTSEVA Detroit Youth Board volunteers participated in the Open Door Ministry Volunteering Event, where we did a variety of activities, including cutting vegetables, packing water bottles, organizing food in the pantry and volunteers braved the cold Michigan weather and helped load the cars with bags and boxes food for families in need.

Detroit - WIHI VTS Club - Teen Mental Wellness - Positive Note Activity

n honor of Teen Mental Wellness Day, we organized a Note-Making Event—a simple yet powerful initiative to spread positivity and encouragement. In a world where teens often face stress, self-doubt, and overwhelming expectations, we wanted to remind them that they are seen, valued, and not alone. This event helped remind us that kindness grows stronger when shared with others. In total, we made around 120 notes! Thank you to everyone who helped support this event!
