VT Seva Seattle UTSAV 2025 - Annual Fundraiser

Join us for Utsav 2025, our annual fundraiser celebrating empathy and resilience. Together, we support Jeeyar Gurukulam and Nethra Vidyalaya, schools that provide free education and boarding to visually challenged and underprivileged children in India. From a handful of tribal Thandas to nearly 25 villages today, this effort has created lasting generational change—thanks to your continued generosity.

Building Tiny Homes

LOCATION:

Seattle VT Seva volunteers built a Tiny Home at Hope Factory organized by Sound Foundations NW! This home will be part of a Tiny Home village to address the homelessness in Seattle. Each Tiny Home supports at-least 20 families in need during its 30-year lifetime! Impacting so many families - all from one afternoon of volunteering together. This is what VT Seva stands for. Thank you - we are thankful and proud of all our volunteers.

Cranes for Cancer

On Saturday, February 22, 2025 VTSeva Chicago volunteers packed food for those in need at Feed My Starving Children! Together, with many other volunteers, we packed a total of 174 boxes (our group 24 boxes ) which will be sent to Cuba! We also had few of the volunteers helping out with ware house activities. Thank you to Mohisha, Lakshmi, Kiva, Ishani, Ananya, Sahithi, Veda, Avani, Anvitha, Mrigank, Anish, Charlotte, Mahilini, Karthikeyan and other adult volunteers for volunteering with us!

𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱: 𝗦𝗵𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗮 𝗩𝗲𝗱 Our collaboration helped quality check over 70 blankets for Fleece & Thank you to distribute! Fleece and Thank you gave us the opportunity to help them remotely by giving youth blankets to take home and quality check them to Fleece and Thank you’s standards. Throughout this project, our VT Seva Detroit youth volunteers engaged in various quality inspection tasks such as retying the strands if loose or unevenly spaced, cutting to make sure all the strands were the same length, and by making sure the blanket didn’t have any holes or rips and if so patching them to the volunteers best ability.

Brannon Road Clean Up (Adopt a Road)

On March 2, 2025, around 35 VT Seva Atlanta youth volunteers enthusiastically participated in the Atlanta Brannon Road cleaning initiative. After the winter break, we resumed our community service efforts, marking this as the second road adopted by VT Seva for ongoing service. We are incredibly proud of our youth for their dedication and commitment to this selfless community service initiative.

VT Seva Houston's "Walking with the Beat" 5K Walkathon

LOCATION:

On March 1st, over 50 enthusiastic participants came together for a vibrant celebration of health, unity, and service at VT Seva Houston's "Walking with the Beat" 5K Walkathon. From energetic warm-ups to a scenic route, walkers of all ages enjoyed a morning filled with movement and camaraderie. The fun didn’t stop there—post-walk Heart Games brought even more laughter and connection, proving that every step makes a difference! Our Online Campaign Crushed It Too! With incredible participation from supporters near and far, our virtual walkers logged an astounding 250,000+ steps—contributing to a combined total of over 1 MILLION steps! Together, we’ve shown that whether on the ground or online, collective action drives real impact. A heartfelt thank you to all the participants, donors, and volunteers who made this hybrid event a resounding success. Your energy, generosity, and dedication inspire us to keep stepping forward for a better world!

VT Seva Detroit 2025 Group 1 Grab & Go Quality check Project for Fleece & Thank you

With our help, Fleece & Thank you could quality check over 77 blankets! We got this great remote volunteering activity from Fleece & Thank you whereby our youth took the blankets kit bags home & did a thorough Quality check based on the guidelines given by the Fleece and Thank you. During this 2 weeks Project , our VT Seva Detroit youth volunteers engaged in various Quality inspection tasks

Food Bank, Raleigh

VT Seva Cary – Food Bank Raleigh Service (March 1, 2025) On Saturday, March 1st, VT Seva Cary had the opportunity to serve at the Food Bank of Raleigh, where volunteers helped sort and organize food that was later distributed to countless individuals, families, and communities across our region. This effort ensured that nutritious meals reached those in need, reinforcing our commitment to fighting hunger and supporting dignity through service. Thanks to the everlasting support of 16 youth volunteers and 1 adult volunteer, we had another successful and impactful day at the Food Bank. Together, our team worked with energy, compassion, and teamwork—demonstrating how small acts of service can ripple out to touch thousands of lives. 💙 Beyond the immediate impact, this event also gave our youth volunteers a chance to experience the importance of food security, learn about the logistics behind community support, and strengthen their leadership through hands‑on service. We are grateful to our volunteers for their dedication and look forward to continuing this partnership with the Food Bank Raleigh, ensuring that hope and nourishment reach every home in need

This event let volunteers participate in every step to make blankets for children in various Michigan hospitals. Fleece and Thank you works with various companies and hospitals to provide colorful blankets to children in hospitals to bring color into their rooms.

Georgia Capitol Visit

🎉🎉 VT Seva Atlanta SPARK Youth Board visited Georgia Capital on Feb 28, 2025 🎉🎉 The ATL Youth Board interacted with the GA House of Representatives & Senators about Georgia legislative & school system. Our youths presented their views for the further enhancing and elevating Forsyth county schools. They participated in the Capitol tour, saw senate proceedings in action 🇺🇸✌️🇺🇸 The VT Seva Atlanta SPARK Youth Board’s visit to the Georgia Capitol is an excellent example of young people taking an active role in shaping their community. It’s inspiring to see that the senators, including Todd Jones, Shawn Still, and Carter Barrett, appreciated the feedback and are now open to collaborating with Atlanta VT Seva on future Atlanta projects. It seems like the youth board is making a real impact in Atlanta - truly a great step towards creating positive change!

VTS Det - WIHI VTS Club - Teen Mental Wellness Card Making Event

In a world where teens often face stress, self-doubt, and overwhelming expectations, we wanted to remind them that they are seen, valued, and not alone. This event helped remind us that kindness grows stronger when shared with others.

Detroit - Troy IAE VTS Club - Shamrock Showdown

IAE VTS hosted an event and created about 60 personal notes for the Special Ed basketball players participating in the Shamrock Showdown, on annual basketball tournament featuring teams from TCT, Avondale, and more. Our goal was to give back to the community by providing these encouraging notes to the Special Ed students, recognizing their skills and hard work.

Lakeside Youth Club Established

VT SEVA Lakeside Youth Club was established on Feb 26, 2025. This youth club is dedicated to serving our community while helping students build leadership & teamwork skilled along with service mindset. Throughout the year, they will participate in meaningful events in 4 pillars VT Seva - Education, Environment, Disater Relief, and Healthcare. They main projects will be Adopt-a-Road cleanups, Meals by Grace food drives, Senior living Community services, Disaster relief activities, Educational seminars, and much more. VT SEVA Lakeside youth club also proves an opportunity to enhance your interpersonal skills, connecting you with a larger network of student volunteers across the region. Beyond service, this club is a great place to make friends, develop leadership skills, and work together toward a common goal of helping others. The objective of this club is Volunteering Together For Service and make a difference, one event at a time!

VT Seva Cary – Monthly Volunteer Meeting (February 2025) While not an official volunteering event, VT Seva Cary volunteers came together for our monthly meeting to learn more about VT Seva’s mission and impact. This gathering provided a meaningful opportunity for new and returning volunteers to understand how service initiatives are started, how to integrate themselves into our community’s volunteer network, and how each individual can contribute to creating lasting change. Beyond learning, the meeting was filled with joy and connection. Volunteers participated in interactive games and team‑building activities that helped them get to know one another, strengthen bonds, and build a spirit of collaboration. The atmosphere was one of enthusiasm, curiosity, and shared purpose. For the month of February, 55 youth volunteers participated in this meeting, making it a vibrant and inspiring start to the year. This gathering not only deepened awareness of VT Seva’s vision but also inspired volunteers to take initiative, develop leadership skills, and explore creative ways to serve. By combining education with fun, we strengthened the foundation of our volunteer family and set the stage for impactful service in the months ahead.
