VT Seva Seattle UTSAV 2025 - Annual Fundraiser
Join us for Utsav 2025, our annual fundraiser celebrating empathy and resilience. Together, we support Jeeyar Gurukulam and Nethra Vidyalaya, schools that provide free education and boarding to visually challenged and underprivileged children in India. From a handful of tribal Thandas to nearly 25 villages today, this effort has created lasting generational change—thanks to your continued generosity.

VT Seva Dallas Cancer Walkathon

VT Seva 14th Annual Cancer Walkathon: VT Seva Dallas conducted 14th annual Cancer Walkathon on October 20th, 2024. During the cancer walk event, both Adult and Youth volunteers, Walkers and Runners all came Together raised public awareness about Cancer risk and prevention. About 150 walkers (gathered at Warren sports complex in Frisco) from different cities in Dallas metroplex joined the walk/run with full enthusiasm. VT Seva Dallas Branch Director Mrs. Amita Aviur welcomed the walkers with her inspiring message on Cancer Walk, Mahila Arogya Viakas and this year's goal to support the noble cause VT Seva Youth did bake sale, and fund raising activities to send all proceeds towards Cancer screening kits - cancer and health camps in India for the underprivileged, for early detection, thus saving lives. VT Seva youth also gave informative presentations on multiple Cancer types, symptoms, causes and precautions to take for early detection and prevention. Besides Walk, many fun games etc were organized to keep the walkers and participants engaged and informed. Quick physical warm up exercises and stretches were done just before the long walk. People who participated were encouraged to walk and do fitness activities every day for physical fitness and staying active. During the walkathon, CPR training was done by Kishore Chukkala, a certified CPR Trainer health professional, who provided free hands on training on how to perform CPR, when it is needed and call emergency during the need of the hour and how a life can be saved. It was very interesting and highly interactive training session. Youth enjoyed the training as they have learned how to perform compressions practically. CPR training not only provided free training in gaining life saving skills to Save a Life, but also added to overall Health awareness. VT Seva Dallas recently conducted Youth workshops on 'Problems with Plastic' and 'Environmental Sustainability 101' with one of the partners, city of Plano and created awareness on how micro plastic pollution not only impacts Environmental issues but also causes Health issues including cancer. Walkathon participants were reminded about the importance of avoiding micro plastics and how to cut down daily plastic usage in our daily lives for good health. VT Seva youth spread the awareness to keep our local communities we live in strong and healthy. VT Seva is a youth volunteers driven non-profit organization and always empowers youth for positive action. Amita ji explained about year round service projects and volunteer opportunities, youth leadership programs, and how youth can get involved and lead service activities to give back to the community, to make a difference. VT Seva Dallas youth displayed wonderful Team work in successfully completing all the activities during the walk. More than just a fundraising event, it was like a community gathering to support a common cause. The volunteering spirit just reflected the Joy of giving back. VT Seva Dallas Cancer Walkathon was a purposeful and fun-filled community event, as always.

SUBHA 2024 was a youth-led inspiring and electrifying afternoon filled with magnificent performances and meaningful messages. The program started with the lighting up the lamp and prayers by the Prajna students. Our Guest of Honor was Mr. Krishna Kanth Vennamaneni, VT Seva Advisor and former VT Seva President. Our other guests were Mr. Corey Jackson, CEO of the Laurel Heights hospital, Dr. Sheth, Dr. Krishna Mohan and Dr. Vivek. The event began with the Emcee welcoming everyone to celebrate the spirit of service and support the cause of empowering 250 Nethra students of Bharath. Later, American national anthem was performed, honoring the opportunities provided by this country, followed by the Indian national anthem, signifying respect for our heritage. This tribute to both nations reflects our deep pride and gratitude. Afterwards, a welcome note was rendered by Dr. Madhu Nemani, VT Seva Atlanta Director by highlighting & embracing the spirit volunteerism and sharing the progress and progression of VT Seva Atlanta from 2021 to 2024. The Atlanta chapter growth is phenomenal in terms of establishment of youth clubs, activities, volunteers’ increment, and fundraising. Later, a presentation on VT SEVA Atlanta 2023-2024 activities and accomplishments was presented which represent year-round volunteer work of our youths in the field of Education, Environment, Disaster relief, and Healthcare. Thereafter a video highlighting our beneficiaries and their accomplishments were showcased. Next, was the special segment featuring our youth fundraising endeavors to empower their Nethra friends. A presentation on Animal welfare was presented by Alliance Academy youths which highlighted the importance of animal well-being and correlate it with human well-being. The best VT Seva Youth Award goes to Kaundinya Challa. The best youth club and best SUBHA 2024 contribution awards goes to Alliance Academy. The evening continued with fantastic music, dance, and instrumental performances which thrilled and delighted the audience. In addition, a heartfelt skit by Prajna students on the recent inauguration of the Hanuman statue by H.H. Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji, symbolizing unity and service was portrayed. It was a joyous celebration of community spirit with enthusiastic participation from the Atlanta VT Seva family. More than 300 VT Seva volunteers attended the event and each one of them was inspired with the spirit of giving and service mindset of the youths. With Acharya’s blessings, we were able to accomplish our goal of raising funds for 250 visually challenged students of Nethra Vidyalaya. In nutshell, the SUBHA environment was truly electric from start to finish. From thrilling performances to the energy radiating messages from our vibrant youth, the event was a perfect mix of sharing, caring, and empowering ourselves and others. The joy is ours to see others in joy and we have spread this joy and happiness with all through our SUBHA Annual event on Oct 19th, 2024.

VT SEVA Maryland Team's Clothing Distribution Event

On October 19, the VT SEVA Maryland team volunteered for a clothing distribution event in partnership with Friends of the Child Advocacy Center at Frederick High School. Our team efficiently sorted and distributed a vast selection of clothes to underprivileged families. Event Highlights Families in need received essential clothing items. Grateful recipients expressed appreciation for the initiative.

VTSeva austin monthly volunteering activity at RMHC privides 45-50 lunch bags to the families of the patience at Dell children's hospitals in and around Austin. 6 youth volunteers and 2 adult volunteers serve at the event and help in packing and dropping . Thanks to our donors who contribute to our lunch bag items.

Biweekly Music Brings Joy to the Senior Center

All year long, VT Seva Seattle youth have been volunteering biweekly at the senior center, filling the halls with the beautiful sounds of piano, Mridangam, guitar, and other instruments. Their performances bring joy, connection, and a lively atmosphere to the seniors, creating moments of happiness and shared appreciation for music.
