VTSEva Austin has conducted a volunteer activity at General Motors during the volunteer month. We have made 2000 flowers for DAV and made 70 Bday cards for the NEw century Hospice center seniors .

We gathered in the library and start creating groups for the cultural items - national anthem, Dance, Singing, Emcee etc. We also discuss the process of participation, dress code, and outside participation from music and dance schools of Atlanta!

On September 5, our volunteers had the unique opportunity to undergo a Basic Life Support and CPR Training session hosted by the Novi Fire Department and conducted through the support of the American Heart Association. This hands-on experience involved practice with mannequins, allowing volunteers to master techniques like chest compressions and valve mask breath support—key components of resuscitation when someone collapses due to a medical emergency like cardiac arrest or choking. After the training, volunteers went through a 1:1 test, where if they passed, they received a 2 year certification from the American Heart Association.

SUBHA 2024 Kickoff Meeting at on Sep 1st, 2024 - In this meeting, we discussed - 1.⁠ ⁠Youth participation in SUBHA Cultural 2.⁠ ⁠⁠Youth participation in Fundraising for a Cause 3.⁠ ⁠⁠Youth participation in volunteering activities - decoration, stage help, tech support etc Our SUBHA 2024 goal is to empower 250 Nethra students, of Bharath and celebrate the spirit of volunteerism ✌️✌️✌️

VT Seva Tampa collaborates with Books For Africa to improve access to education for children across Africa by collecting and donating gently used books. VT Seva (Volunteering Together for Service and Education) is a nonprofit organization that empowers youth to lead service initiatives focused on education, health, and community development. As part of this mission, the Tampa chapter organizes book drives to support global literacy through Books For Africa, the largest shipper of donated books to the African continent. Community members are encouraged to contribute children’s books, which are collected at drop-off points and sent to African schools and libraries. Students and student ambassadors lead the effort, planning drives, coordinating collections, and spreading awareness, while earning volunteer hours and developing leadership skills. This initiative not only helps close the educational resource gap abroad but also encourages responsibility and socialization among students in the Tampa area. Sign up and start collecting the books. In Celebration of India's 78th Independence Day in August 2024, Atlanta VT Seva initiated a project to highlight the achievements of 53 Bharat Ratna awardees from 1954 to the present. Throughout the month, 53 dedicated youth from VT Seva Atlanta participated by creating and sharing daily  infographics that detailed the contributions of these distinguished individuals. Due to the high level of enthusiasm and participation , we completed the presentation  of all 53 Bharat Ratna awardees and we ran out of Bharat Ratna awardees due to over response from our enthusiastic youth.We are greatly proud of their exemplary dedication and enthusiasm and look forward to their ongoing contributions to our future initiatives.

VT Seva Cary volunteers at the Radha Krishna Temple of NC on August 25th (Sunday) . participated in different activities in helping on the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami event at the temple which volunteers will be helping out . On the auspicious occasion of Krishna Janmashtami, 24 dedicated VT Seva volunteers enthusiastically participated in various activities at the Radha Krishna Mandir. Our volunteers contributed their time and effort to assist with multiple activities. This heartfelt service was a reflection of the volunteers' commitment to giving back to the community

This wonderful event was spearheaded by Ms. Shadora Ford in honor of Founder’s Day. VT Seva distributed cloth bags which were part of our Say No to Plastics awareness campaign. These beautiful bags were painted with inspiring messages by over 20 volunteers. Volunteers also helped set up for this event, and they gave away gently used clothing, books, and toys. VT Seva is honored to be part of such noble efforts and looks forward to many more events in the future.
