Together, we successfully accomplished crafting Forget-Me-Not flowers for our veterans. This activity was deeply fulfilling and meaningful, as it enabled us to demonstrate our support for veterans. On March 3rd, 2024, VT Seva Atlanta has organized ‘DIY Composting Webinar’. More than 50 youths attended this session and understood the science & art of composting. They learned various types of Composting - Hot Composting, Cold Compisting, Trench Composting, and Vermi Composting. They will make their own organic compost for the April Cool Seedling project!

As part of the WAKE Up and Read Volunteering activity, VT Seva Cary volunteers were part of a community initiative in 2024 to improve school readiness, expand learning opportunities, and also engage families in the learning process. It is ultimately a way for volunteers to commit to a charitable cause that helps the underprivileged by building home libraries for them in Wake County. Volunteers were able to take part in one of the biggest book drives on March 2nd. This activity asked volunteers to help sort, count, and bundle books that would then be shared with the community. They were also tasked with receiving books, and sorting/compiling literacy materials. This event allowed our volunteers to become closer within our Wake County community and help support the underprivileged.

Our Volunteers braved the stormy weather and helped plant trees for a local community. They worked along side Our City Forest volunteers and coaches and learnt some important skills while helping their community and environmental causes.

This event aimed to promote health and fitness while raising funds for the American Heart Association. Participants of all ages joined in, walking along the designated route while enjoying the beautiful scenery and amazing weather. Participants started out by going either way from the starting point, with one 3 mile and a 1.75-mile trail. The atmosphere was lively and energetic, with the enthusiasm of the participants warming the spirits of all involved. After everyone was finished, we ended off with a quiz on heart health, and participants won giveaway items! The event was a great success, with nearly 175 miles walked coming just from the virtual campaign!

FMSC orginization helps feed children that are starving. Volunteers pack food bags with nutritious ingredients that are essential for a healthy diet. Soy, vegetables, rice, and vitamins were used in this packing process. These bags are being transported to 112 different countries.

For Teen mental wellness our youths came together on this special day and sent positive and uplifting messages to each other to ensure we all have each other.

Every month our volunteers pick their neighborhood streets or parks and pick trash and do their part to reduce landfills while keeping their neighborhoods clean.

In the month of February our volunteers continued t support the cause of Environmental Sustainability and Climate Change by enthusiastically taking part in this activity.
