VT Seva Chicago volunteers participated in a rewarding volunteering session at Bernie’s Book Bank. Today, we were fortunate to welcome a few new volunteers to our team, enhancing our collective effort. Working collaboratively, we successfully processed thousands of books. The books we prepared will undoubtedly spark a love for reading and learning among children who may not have had access to such resources before. Thank you everyone who contributed their time and effort to this session.

The CASS Community Cooking Service Event is something that we all enjoy every time we go there. It was filled with fun 😊, tears 🥲, and some singing too🎤. It was really fun to work together. The residents were welcomed with a clean dining room and pantry and appreciated the boys who gave them a nice smelling, clean room with freshly cleaned tables and floors. Who knew making a difference could be so delicious? We were able to help feed a total of 130 people and they loved all the food we prepared for them. We always have a great time here and can't wait to go back again!

9 VTSeva youth volunteers spent their Saturday afternoon helping at RAFT. They created journal kits and other resources to be distributed by teachers during summer schools.

VT Seva San Antonio youths and adults volunteered did at the SA Food Bank on 02/17/2024. Together, they all helped in packing 9402 lbs of food which will serve 7521 families! Kudos to all the volunteers who showed up despite of an inclement weather condition!

VT Seva Detroit volunteered at the medical relief center on February 17th 2024. This relief center helps developing countries and families in need of medical assistance by sorting and distributing medical equipment to third world countries. 12 VT Seva Detroit volunteers (Youth and Adults) volunteered at the Medical Relief center in MI and helped sort 2 tables of equipment

VTS Troy High VTS club initiated a book drive and collaborated with Youth Board and collect 650+ books. All these books were donated to Making Spirts Bright, which will be delivered to schools, homes, homeschools, free bookfairs and even prisons. Made a huge impact with this project.

Volunteers cleaned up the premises, removed trash and weeds, consolidated unused soil, and cleaned up the garden beds. The pre-existing dried plants and wood leaves were gathered from the garden beds and repurposed. Despite the very cold and windy weather over 15 volunteers were present for this cleanup - thanking them for their valuable contributions today!

On Feb 17, 2024 with freezing cold temperatures in Atlanta, number of non-profit orgs came forward to help the homeless by providing food, dental kits, and toys to spread the kindness and warmth with the less fortunate ones. Atlanta VT Seva youths from lambert highschool with their President Srimayi also participated in this ‘Wellness’ event and gave more than 100 dental kits to the homeless families. Along with food and dental kits, homeless people were also provided a place to take shower along with onsite doctors assistance for any medical help. We are very proud of our Atlanta VT Seva youths for coming forward and serving the needy on this National Random Act of Kindness Day!

Atlanta VT Seva youths flew ‘Random Act Of Kindness’ 🪁🪁 kites on this Makar Sankranti! More than 30 youths participated in the kindness acts at home, at school, and outside from Jan 14th, 2024 to Feb 14th, 2024. Research shows that helping others can be good for our mental health. It reduces stress, improves our emotional well-being and even benefits our physical health. In short, doing good does you good. It's the small things in life that can make a big difference!

VTSeva Austin school clubs and volunteers celebrated their Feb Month of Love by showing gratitude to teh school custodians and feeding hope for the visually challenged.

Atlanta VT Seva youths had a great day on Feb 11, 2024 with the seniors of Phoenix Assisted living. Our youths played bingo games, listened to their stories, made them laugh, and played kick ball & ballon throws with them. It’s a gratifying and fulfilling experience for us today!

VT Seva Chicago volunteers crafted heartfelt Valentine’s Day greeting cards for senior citizens and bus drivers! Kudos to all the adult & youth volunteers who took part in this activity. The cards were personally delivered to Naperville school bus drivers & Buffalo Grove Sunrise Senior Living on Valentine’s Day. It was a wonderful experience for our young volunteers to connect with senior citizens and spend quality time with them in the evening!

Vt Seva Cary provided an opportunity to make Valentine's Day Cards and Bracelets for the seniors at Meals on Wheels at the Durham Campus towards an amazing cause! Thanks to the volunteers’ creativity and spirit of volunteerism, we were able to brighten someone’s day on this beautiful holiday. We would like to thank our youth volunteers for making this years Valentine’s day a very special one for the seniors at Meals on Wheels by showing their love and support through the Valentine’s Day Cards making and Protein Shake collection event! Your kindness has certainly touched the hearts of many and will make someone’s day brighter.  We had 58 volunteers sign up for the Valentine Day cards and were able to deliver a total of 232 beautiful and creative cards. The ask for protein shakes from Meals on Wheels came at the last minute. Knowing that they won’t receive any hours for this activity, we had 7 youth volunteers sign up and they were able to donate more than 70 bottles displaying a true act of kindness. We would like to give a special shout out to Praveena ji for dropping the cards and protein shakes at Meals on wheels . Your kindness has certainly touched the hearts of many and made this Valentine’s Day brighter for our community!
