Basura Bash Volunteering
San Antonio youth and adult volunteers participated in Basura Bash on Mar 8th, 2025. Basura Bash is San Antonio's large, annual volunteer-driven event focused on cleaning up the city's creeks, rivers, and waterways, removing tons of trash from the San Antonio watershed, involving thousands of volunteers, and promoting responsible cleanup and recycling of litter like bottles, styrofoam, and plastic. We appreciate all our volunteers who showed up on this cold morning to beautify local water sources supporting our commitment to preserve environment.

Fighting Hunger! Feeding Hope!
VT Seva San Antonio youth and adult volunteers participated in warehouse volunteering at San Antonio Food Bank on Sept 20th, 2025. We truly appreciate all our volunteers for their time and support to Food Bank with this monthly service occurring on every third Saturday of the month.

Volunteering at San Antonio Public Libraries
In partnership with the San Antonio Public Library, the non-profit organization, Musical Bridges Around the World (MBAW), brought Indian music, dance and culture to over ten (10) library branches across the city in June 2025. It was wonderful collaborating with MBAW for the portion on Indiam Outfits, Saree. Thank you to our branch youth coordinators, Akshara Gurrala, Anwita Surakanti, Aditi Mudipalli and Avanti Mudipalli for representing VT Seva and helping kids learn about and wrapped in a saree.

A Day of Service at Shirdi Sai Baba Temple
San Antonio branch volunteered at the local Shirdi Sai Baba temple with clean up and watering plants on June 22nd, 2025. Thank you to each one of the 20 volunteers who showed up on this sunny day to help keep the temple clean and presentable.

Sandwich Sewa
VT Seva volunteers participated in this monthly service organized by HTSA on 13th Sep 2025 by preparing sandwiches for Vinny's Bistro. Our branch volunteers on second Saturday every month and also sponsors for the needed sandwich supplies and fruit for over 250 homeless people. Our sincere gratitude to all the following families for their sponsorship so far this year in helping HTSA continue this noble initiative - Drs. Mrudula and Praveen Thangada (Jan and Feb), Mrs. Jyothi and Mr. Sreekanth Bezzanki (Mar), Mrs. Purnima and Mithra Kandala (Apr), Mr. Rajeshwari and Mr. Krishnakanth Naishadam (May), Mrs. Vennela and Mr. Rajender Gudur (Jun), Mrs. Samatha and Mr. Jayaram Basireddy (Jul), Mrs. Sowjanya and Mr. Krishnachand Meka (Aug), Drs. VT Seva youth and adult volunteers participated in HTSA organized Sandwich Sewa benefitting Vinny's Bistro. We appreciate Mrs. Chaitanya and Mr. Laxman Rao Davuluri for sponsoring sandwich supplies on behalf of San Antonio branch.

San Antonio Food Bank Volunteering
San Antonio branch volunteered at San Antonio Food Bank helping sort over 7000 lb of food on Oct 18th, 2025. We appreciate all our volunteers who give their time to monthly service.

Volunteering at Texas Diaper Bank
Texas Diaper Bank provides diapers and incontinence supplies to people in need and counts on local volunteers to help sort, pack, and deliver the supplies. VT Seva San Antonio helped pack diapers on Oct 25th, 2025. Thanks to all our youth and adult volunteers to participated in the service.

Out of the Darkness Walk
VT Seva San Antonio participated in the Out of the Darkness Walk organized by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) on Nov 1st, 2025. The AFSP Walks are organized to raise awareness for mental health, strongly sending the message that suicide can be prevented, and that no one is alone. Thanks to our youth coordinator, Aadhya Bobbala, for taking the lead and ensuring that VT Seva supported the cause as part of our commitment to Healthcare.

Saree Wrapping at City Diwali
We had another successful 'Saree Wrapping' service at DiwaliSA event on Nov 1st, 2025. A group of 12 energetic volunteers came together to plan and execute this fundraising activity with a goal of raising funds to support and empower the visually challenged students at Nethra Vidyalaya. Over 75 people supported the cause by getting draped in a saree and showing their love for Indian culture. The San Antonio branch raised $2250 approx from this activity which would support the education of 6 students. Thanks to our team for all the hard work in making this a fun event with a meaningful cause!

Sandwich Service
VT Seva San Antonio youth and adult volunteers helped in making over 250 sandwiches for Vinny's Bistro serving the homeless. We sincerelt thank Mrs.Lalitha and Dr. Raja Cherukuri for their generous sponsorship. A few of our young volunteers also made 'Thank you' cards for our donors after sandwich preparation.
