VTSEVA Bay Area volunteers recently came together for an impactful environmental service initiative, dedicating their time and effort to cleaning up trash along a creek in Milpitas, California. By carefully removing litter, debris, and waste that had accumulated in the natural area, the volunteers demonstrated their strong commitment to protecting local ecosystems and promoting a cleaner, healthier environment for the community. This effort not only enhanced the beauty and safety of the creek but also raised awareness about the importance of environmental stewardship and collective responsibility. Through their hard work and teamwork, VTSEVA Bay Area volunteers continue to inspire others to take action and contribute positively to the preservation of natural spaces.

🌸 𝐇𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐚 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐂𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐨𝐦 𝐌𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 🌸 At Freedom Mela 2025 on Aug 15th, youth volunteers Shivani and Harini brought their creativity to life through Henna for a Cause 🎨 ✨ 𝑾𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒊𝒓 𝒃𝒆𝒂𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒇𝒖𝒍 𝒅𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒈𝒏𝒔, 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒔𝒆𝒅 $64,, and all of the proceeds are being donated to Nethra Vidyalaya to support food and education for visually challenged children 🍎📚. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗼𝗺 𝗠𝗲𝗹𝗮 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁🎶💃🍴 — vibrant music, cultural dances, and delicious food created an atmosphere of joy and celebration. Amidst all the fun, Shivani and Harini were proud to give back to the community and spread positivity through their efforts ❤. Total funds raised by the sisters is approx $1000 for the noble cause! 🌟 𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐡𝐚 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐊𝐢𝐜𝐤-𝐎𝐟𝐟🌟 On 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟏𝟔𝐭𝐡, VT youth officially launched preparations for the 𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐡𝐚 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭. As the meeting took place just a day after India’s Independence Day 🇮🇳, the youth marked the occasion by singing the 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 🎶, filling the atmosphere with patriotic spirit. The kick-off meeting saw the participation of more than 𝟒𝟎 enthusiastic students and adults 👩‍🎓👨‍🎓, who came together to plan and finalize the details for the upcoming event on September 21st 📅. Their energy, dedication, and teamwork were truly commendable 💪✨. We are excited to witness their hard work come to life on stage 🎭 and look forward to a memorable celebration on our big day! 🎉

🎉 𝐕𝐓 𝐒𝐞𝐯𝐚 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩 – 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 🎉 We had a fantastic Summer Camp Closing Ceremony on August 9th, celebrating the incredible achievements of our students, youth tutors, and mentors. 👏👏 🌟 𝐖𝐞 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐑𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐞, 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐭 𝐉𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐬. 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦, 𝐚𝐬 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐬. VT Seva Tampa collaborates with Books For Africa to improve access to education for children across Africa by collecting and donating gently used books. VT Seva (Volunteering Together for Service and Education) is a nonprofit organization that empowers youth to lead service initiatives focused on education, health, and community development. As part of this mission, the Tampa chapter organizes book drives to support global literacy through Books For Africa, the largest shipper of donated books to the African continent. Community members are encouraged to contribute children’s books, which are collected at drop-off points and sent to African schools and libraries. Students and student ambassadors lead the effort, planning drives, coordinating collections, and spreading awareness, while earning volunteer hours and developing leadership skills. This initiative not only helps close the educational resource gap abroad but also encourages responsibility and socialization among students in the Tampa area. Sign up and start collecting the books. We helped sort, quality-check, and pack essential supplies for teachers—making sure everything was ready to support classrooms in need. It was a fun and fulfilling day of teamwork, service, and community impact!
