On July 22, 2025, VT Seva Houston volunteers visited Lunches of Love and helped decorate lunch bags. Lunches of Love is an organization dedicated to ending childhood hunger in Fort Bend County by providing free, nutritious sack lunches. We had a great time decorating the bags and hope the kids enjoy the designs! We’re thankful for the chance to support such a meaningful cause. VTSEVA Bay Area volunteers recently came together for an impactful environmental service initiative, dedicating their time and effort to cleaning up trash along a creek in Milpitas, California. By carefully removing litter, debris, and waste that had accumulated in the natural area, the volunteers demonstrated their strong commitment to protecting local ecosystems and promoting a cleaner, healthier environment for the community. This effort not only enhanced the beauty and safety of the creek but also raised awareness about the importance of environmental stewardship and collective responsibility. VTSEVA volunteers came together for a meaningful and exciting month of service, assembling brown bags packed with delicious and nutritious food. On Monday, June 23, VTS Detroit youth board had a wonderful time at the Manoogian Manor Senior Center spending time with the residents during their Monday night gathering. During the event, all the volunteers spent time talking to the seniors about their days and learning about their lives 💬, helping the seniors play lawn games like cornhole and ladder toss 🏐, and passing out some delicious, refreshing drinks that were perfect for the hot summer day 🥤. In addition, we also got to listen to some beautiful music played by Sanyog Iyengar on a keyboard that was in the facility 🎹. By the end of the event, we hadn't realized how much time has passed and the residents didn't want us to leave, but we assured them that we would be back soon enough and that we couldn't wait to spend time with them once again. Overall, we all had such a fun time at the event and can't wait for the next one! If you were not able to make it this time, hopefully we will see you at our future visits this summer!

VT Seva youth from Northview High School recently organized Mock SAT exams to help fellow high school students strengthen their test-taking skills and improve time management. A total of 28 students participated in this hands-on SAT prep experience. Students found the sessions extremely valuable as they gained practical exposure to the new Digital SAT format, helping them build confidence for the real test. 💡 These mock exams were not only educational but also impactful. Through this initiative, our youth successfully raised $1,400, which will go toward supporting the education of visually challenged students at Nethra Vidyalaya in India. 🌍 ⚠️ Please note: VT Seva is not a SAT tutoring organization. We are a youth-led service organization, and these sessions were offered in good faith by volunteers purely to support their peers through collaborative learning and community service. 👏 A big thank you to Adithya and all the students and volunteers who made this initiative a success - making a difference one step at a time!

🎉VT Seva Atlanta Youth Workshop at Laurel Heights Hospital – A Day of Service, Smiles, and Solidarity 🎉 On June 20, 2025, VT Seva Atlanta proudly organized a Workshop at the Laurel Heights Hospital, creating a heartfelt and impactful experience for both our youth volunteers and the Special Needs children receiving treatment. This initiative provided a unique opportunity for young minds to engage meaningfully with doctors and special needs children during their summer care programs. The event began by sharing beautifully handcrafted “Thank You” cards to the hospital’s doctors and staff in appreciation of their unwavering dedication. During a warm “Greet and Meet” session, the youth introduced themselves, shared their fields of interest, and actively participated in a Q&A session with the hospital’s medical professionals, engaging in thoughtful discussions across a variety of topics. As a token of care and creativity, our youths presented cards & notebooks adorned with inspiring hand-designed cover pages to the children at the hospital. The day continued with three engaging, hands-on activity sessions: 1. Art & Creativity: In honor of the upcoming July 4th celebrations, participants created origami versions of the national bird and crafted photo frames using the colors of the American flag — encouraging creativity and patriotism. 2. Taekwondo & Self-Defense: Volunteers introduced basic Taekwondo techniques, teaching the importance of self-defense, discipline, and moral character. 3. Dance & Movement: The final session brought everyone together in a joyful dance segment that lifted spirits and added energy and laughter to the day. These thoughtful, inclusive activities not only uplifted the Special Needs kids but also inspired our volunteers, reminding all involved in the power of service and compassion.✌️♥️✌️ We extend our heartfelt thanks to Laurel Heights Hospital for their collaboration and support, and to our dedicated youth volunteers for their passion, empathy, and unwavering commitment to making a difference. Together, we created lasting memories and strengthened the bonds of community service. 💫💖
