On January 17th, 2026, VT Seva Cary assisted the Durham Rescue Mission; a homeless shelter for men based in Durham. Our 5 youth volunteers and 1 adult volunteer performed their assigned tasks with dedication and compassion.. As helping the impoverished falls under the scope of VTSEVA, this event in particular was important as it was something that many of our members were passionate about. The gratitude on the peoples faces as we handed them their dishes, drinks and desserts was extremely evident. We thank our volunteers for coming out and partaking, and Durham Rescue Mission for our continued partnership and a chance to help change the lives of our world.

On January 1st, 2026, 11 youth volunteers from VT Seva Cary had the wonderful opportunity to assist at the Sri Venkateswara Temple of North Carolina. Volunteering at the temple was a meaningful way to begin the new year, and our team truly enjoyed the experience. We observed the temple’s youth volunteers working with great dedication and respect. They followed the guidance of the adult coordinators and helped with a variety of tasks—handing out prasadam, replenishing supplies, and assisting with laddoo and boondi distribution. Their attentiveness and discipline were inspiring to see. Overall, it was a fulfilling day of service, community connection, and shared devotion. Looking forward to many more opportunities to serve together

The VTS Denmark School Youth Club, led by 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐲𝐚 along with a team of 𝟵 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨, conducted a special jacket collection 🧥drive 𝐉𝐚𝐧 𝟖𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐨 𝐉𝐚𝐧 𝟐𝟑𝐫𝐝, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 , by placing drop boxes in nearby areas. With the support of volunteers, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐞𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟎+ 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫🧦 𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐬🧤🧣, which were 𝒅𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒃𝒖𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒉𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒍𝒆𝒈𝒆𝒅 𝒇𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒄𝒓𝒐𝒔𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑨𝒕𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒂 𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒂. The VT Seva Detroit branch proudly celebrates the success of its Youth-Led Outreach Project 2025, which raised over $23,800 to support the education of 65+ visually challenged students at Nethra Vidyalaya. Renowned for its commitment to holistic education, Nethra Vidyalaya empowers students to grow academically, personally, and with confidence - and this project focused on ensuring they have the resources needed to thrive.

On February 1, 15 amazing VTSeva volunteers came together to create “Forget Me Not” flowers in honor of Disabled American Veterans. With every flower folded and every stem assembled, our youth volunteers poured in gratitude, respect, and love for the veterans who have given so much in service to our country. Moments like these remind us that small acts—when done together—can carry deep meaning. Thank you to our volunteers for showing compassion through action and helping us remember those who should never be forgotten.
