With the support of thousands of volunteers and donors, we had an incredibly impactful year filled with numerous activities dedicated to uplifting and empowering our community.
Highlighting these efforts, 323 youth volunteers were honored with the President's Volunteer Service Awards, a testament to their unwavering dedication and inspiring spirit of volunteerism.

VT Seva Houston donates books to Books between Kids- spreading the joy of reading!!!

A four week book drive was conducted between July 16th to August 10th, 2025. Books were dropped off at Books Between Kids, an organization supplying children’s books to at risk youth. We were able to donate 500+ children’s books! Donating books to Books Between Kids will help an at-risk child in Houston to begin building her or his very own library at home! VT Seva Houston - Houston Food Bank

On Saturday, January 18th, our VT Seva Houston volunteers had the wonderful opportunity to volunteer at the Houston Food. Together, we helped pack 13,681 meals, filling 18 pallets, and handling over 16,418 pounds of food. It was wonderful to see how much we can accomplish when we come together as a team. Shout-out to everyone who volunteered at the garden today! 🙌🏽 The morning was cooler, the energy was great, and the impact was meaningful. One of the highlights was seeing our youngest volunteer (9 years old!) learn about what the RR Service Center does and how VTSeva supports the center and the surrounding community. Moments like these truly reflect the spirit of service and learning we aim to foster. 💚 Overall, it was a successful and rewarding morning! 📅 Starting next month, garden volunteering will be back to the 1st Saturday of every month. We look forward to seeing even more volunteers join us next month as we continue serving together.

A huge thank you to all the volunteers who made this year’s first Lunches with Love event at Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) such a success! 🙏🏽 30 brown bags were packed and dropped at Dell's Children hospital. Special shout-out to our adult volunteers who jumped in early, kept the lunch packing going, and supported the team while our youth volunteers were arriving—your dedication truly made a difference. It was heartwarming to see VTSeva volunteers of all ages come together to serve families with love, compassion, and teamwork. 💕 We’re grateful for your time, energy, and spirit of service!

The holiday season is all about spreading joy to everyone around you. However, not everyone experiences this spirit. By using our time and resources to raise money, we are able to help bring cheer to our community! On 12/17 and 12/19 VT Seva Detroit volunteers visited the Laurel Park Place Mall to ring bells for the Salvation Army. Singing Christmas carols and making small talk with passer-byers, we were able to bring in donations from mall visitors and bring Christmas cheer to not just the mall visitors, but also the less fortunate who gain so much from the contributions of the Salvation Army. Every year, we are so happy to end our year with this event. It brings smiles to so many faces and warmth to our hearts. We can't wait to have this opportunity again in 2026!
VTS Detroit YB 2025 SALVATION ARMY HOLIDAY FOOD and TOY DRIVE

To make someone's *Holiday* a little more cheerful, VTSEVA Detroit Youth Board collected *about 372lbs of Non-Perishable Food Items* (Canned vegetables, Canned fruit, Cereal boxes, Peanut butter, Jelly, Mac and cheese, pasta, cookies and crackers etc) and *25 New, Unwrapped Toys in packaging*. These donations will help the Salvation Army provide food, comfort, and joy to families in need during the holidays. We can't thank enough the community that contributed to this amazing cause.
