Detroit - WIHI VTS Club - Teen Mental Wellness - Positive Note Activity

n honor of Teen Mental Wellness Day, we organized a Note-Making Eventโa simple yet powerful initiative to spread positivity and encouragement. In a world where teens often face stress, self-doubt, and overwhelming expectations, we wanted to remind them that they are seen, valued, and not alone. This event helped remind us that kindness grows stronger when shared with others. In total, we made around 120 notes! Thank you to everyone who helped support this event!

The Place Volunteering: West Forsyth High School

On March 8th, about 10 members team from West Forsyth High School VT Seva Youth Club did amazing service at The Place at Forsyth. The Place is an organization that relies on donations from outsiders, and they repurpose old clothes, furniture, accessories, appliances, and more to sell in their thrift store. Then, anyone, including underprivileged families can come and buy things for very affordable prices. The organization also sponsors and helps out families that are in need and struggling. Today, our team of volunteers made a big impact by sorting through many bags of clothes to go in the thrift store. It was a successful day!

This event let volunteers participate in every step to make blankets for children in various Michigan hospitals. Fleece and Thank you works with various companies and hospitals to provide colorful blankets to children in hospitals to bring color into their rooms.

Brannon Road Clean Up (Adopt a Road)

On March 2, 2025, around 35 VT Seva Atlanta youth volunteers enthusiastically participated in the Atlanta Brannon Road cleaning initiative. After the winter break, we resumed our community service efforts, marking this as the second road adopted by VT Seva for ongoing service. We are incredibly proud of our youth for their dedication and commitment to this selfless community service initiative.

On February 16, 2025, VT Seva Atlanta organized the โBird Feederโ activity to celebrate โ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐ข๐ซ๐ ๐ ๐๐๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐ก.โ More than 30 enthusiastic youths created their brilliant multicolor bird feeders ๐ฆ๐๏ธ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฆฉ๐ชฟ๐ฆค As part of VT Sevaโs ๐๐ง๐ฏ๐ข๐ซ๐จ๐ง๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ซ, this initiative supports bird care and preservation by providing them with safe feeding spaces, fostering a harmonious connection between youth and nature ๐ชด๐ชบ Beyond environmental protection, this event also contributed to VT Sevaโs Education Pillar, as we raised funds for the โ ๐ ๐๐๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ฉ๐ โ program. This year, on the occasion of ๐๐ ๐๐๐ข , Atlanta youth are extending a heartfelt ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก-๐ญ๐จ-๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก Connect by offering ๐๐ง๐ง๐๐๐๐ง๐๐ฆ to Nethra Vidyalaya students for eight consecutive days, from ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ก ๐๐ ๐ญ๐จ ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ก ๐๐. Last year, this initiative helped feed students for four daysโthis year, we are proud to extend that support to eight days. ๐๐๐ Through this activity, VT Seva also strengthens its Youth ๐๐๐๐๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ ๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ซ, encouraging young volunteers to take an active role in community service and environmental stewardship. Their commitment reflects the true spirit of VT Seva - protecting nature, empowering youth, and uplifting communities โ๏ธโ๏ธโ๏ธ

VTS Atlanta - Visit to senior living community to celebrate Valentine's Day

On ๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ฎ๐๐ซ๐ฒ ๐๐๐ญ๐ก, ๐๐ญ๐ฅ๐๐ง๐ญ๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐ฏ๐ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก๐ฌ visited Phoenix senior living community to celebrate Valentine's Day ๐ More than 20 Atlanta youths spread the Valentine cheers with the seniors by singing and riddles related to Valentine theme and thereby creating good memories for seniors. They made 40 goodie bags with love for the seniors to lift their spirits. Towards the end of the event, youths gave goodie bags to the seniors which consists of handwritten Valentineโs Day messages in a card ๐, handmade friendship bracelet ๐ค and a sweet treat ๐ซ.

On February 9, 2025, ๐๐ ๐๐๐ฏ๐ ๐๐ญ๐ฅ๐๐ง๐ญ๐ organized a "๐ฉ๐๐๐ ๐ถ๐๐ ๐๐ ๐พ๐๐๐๐" โผ project to celebrate the ๐ฝ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐โ๐ ๐ซ๐๐. Around 40 youths participated and creatively repurposed the cardboards๐ฆ, old CDs๐ฟ, and papers to build beautiful flower vases and flowers ๐. These handmade gifts will be shared with their loved ones, promoting the spirit of love and sustainability on this Valentine ๐. The activity has energized our youth and enhanced their creativity, teamwork, sustainable living, and sharing spirit!

Detroit - Troy IAE VTS Club - Shamrock Showdown

IAE VTS hosted an event and created about 60 personal notes for the Special Ed basketball players participating in the Shamrock Showdown, on annual basketball tournament featuring teams from TCT, Avondale, and more. Our goal was to give back to the community by providing these encouraging notes to the Special Ed students, recognizing their skills and hard work.

VT Seva West Forsyth High School VT Seva youth members volunteered at the Vickery Creek Middle School International Food Festival on February 7, 2025. The event turned out to be an excellent cultural night. The event had up to 150+ attendees with many being parents and students. Many kids had food booths set up to represent different countries from around the world. Our 11 volunteers helped make this event smoother by helping decorate tables, greeting guests, helping with clean up, and hanging up decorations around the building. They gave VT Seva brochures to the students and many students showed interest to join this youth club. They were impressed by our club activities.
