VT Seva Cary Financial Literacy Camp

The camp will be held online from August 10–20 everyday from 6:00 – 7:00 PM ET (daily) , making it accessible from anywhere. Students will gain valuable knowledge about managing money, making smart financial decisions, and developing responsible spending and saving habits. The registration fee is $25 per student, and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Nethra Vidyalaya schools to support education for visually challenged students.

VT Seva Seattle Coding Camp

Looking for a fun and meaningful way to spend your summer? Enroll your child in ROAD2CODE, a live virtual coding camp designed for students ages 10–14. Whether your child is new to programming or eager to build on their skills, this camp offers an engaging introduction to Java programming through interactive lessons, hands-on projects, and exciting challenges.

VT Seva Detroit 13th Annual Volleyball Tournament

VT Seva Detroit is organizing the 13th Annual Volleyball Tournament on Sep 20th, 2026, starting at 9:00 AM in SPARC, Novi, MI. 

Proceeds from this tournament will go to schools in India for visually challenged children. VT Seva supports Schools for visually challenged students in India, such as Nethra Vidyalaya. These schools provide higher education to visually challenged students and enable them to be independent and compete with other students.

VT Seva volunteers returned to RISE Thrift

On March 8, our VT Seva volunteers teamed up to organize everything from toys and board games to clothing and kitchenware. 🍽️👗 We loved helping this local gem stay organized and ready to serve the Hightstown community. Amazing job by our pairs for keeping the store's mission moving forward!

Volunteering at Sound Foundations

Volunteers helped paint and build Tiny Homes at Sound Foundations Hope Factory. We also donated $9,000 we raised from 2025 Unity Cup tournament. This will enable Sound Foundations to build 2 more Tiny Homes. Each Tiny Home gives support for 60 families over its 20 year lifespan. We are tackling homelessness in Seattle one brick at a time!

VT Seva Chicago - Northern Illinois Food Bank

On March 7th, our dedicated VT Seva Chicago volunteers spent a productive morning at the Northern Illinois Food Bank. The team rolled up their sleeves to tackle the "onion station," where they meticulously sorted through bulk crates to ensure only the best quality produce reached the community. After sorting, we packed them into family-sized bags, ready for distribution to local pantries. It was a morning filled with hard work, teamwork, and a few "happy tears" (thanks to the onions!). Huge thanks to everyone who came out to help fight food insecurity in our region!

VTS Detroit - Troy High VTS Club - DAV Flower Making Event- 2

Troy High VTS made flowers to honor and celebrate the brave veterans who served our country. Each flower was made with care to show respect and gratitude. This activity allowed us to express our thanks in a creative way. Making the flowers also brought our group together to honor them as a community.

Durham Rescue Mission @ Durham Rescue Mission Men’s Campus

On March 7th, 2026, VT Seva Cary volunteers assisted at the Durham Rescue Mission Men’s Campus, a shelter dedicated to supporting individuals experiencing homelessness. Our 7 youth volunteers and 3 adult volunteers worked together to help serve meals and support the staff throughout the event. Volunteers helped organize food distribution stations, serve meals and drinks, and assist guests as they moved through the serving line. They made sure everyone was welcomed with kindness and respect while ensuring the process remained organized and efficient. Through teamwork and compassion, the volunteers helped create a warm and supportive environment for those at the shelter. The experience allowed volunteers to directly serve members of the community while reinforcing VT Seva’s mission of helping those in need.

Brown Bag Ministry

On March 7th, 2026, VT Seva Cary volunteers assisted with the Brown Bag Ministry at St. Andrew Fellowship Hall in Apex, NC. Our 10 youth volunteers helped package sandwiches with ham and cheese, along with chips and pretzels, preparing 360 sandwiches and 40 bags of snacks to support community members in need. Volunteers worked efficiently at their stations, supporting each other as tasks finished at different times, and helped load the meals onto the truck at the end. The event provided an impactful opportunity for volunteers to contribute directly to the community, displaying teamwork, dedication, and pride in their service.

VTS Detroit - IAE VTS Club - Shamrock Shakedown Card Making

On March 3rd, our school community came together to spread some luck and encouragement for the Shamrock Shakedown. We created more than 67 heartfelt cards for the four teams, including the Troy Center for Transition students, playing in the basketball tournament! Each card carried more than just words; it carried support, pride, and the reminder that an entire community is cheering them on.

Best Buddies @Asha Foundation

On March 1st, 2026, VT Seva Cary volunteers assisted the Asha Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting children with developmental disabilities by creating a welcoming environment for learning and social connection. Our 6 youth volunteers found themselves engaging with the children in different cognitive games, including soccer, musical chairs, basketball, and even snakes and ladders. Over six children came to be welcomed that day, and left feeling wonderful, with the event creating a fun and supportive environment for the children while allowing volunteers to form meaningful connections and positively impact the community.

It wasn’t just about giving time — it was about building connections, sharing laughter, and making every child feel seen and valued. Sandwich making for Food Pantry

On March 7th, our VT Seva Chicago volunteers participated in an event organized by Sai Temple. Volunteers gathered to prepare a community favorite: Peanut Butter & Jelly sandwiches! There’s something special about a PB&J—it’s nutritious, filling, and a true staple for those in need of a quick, healthy meal. Our team assembled these sandwiches and paired them with fresh fruit and energy bars to create complete, balanced meal bags. These were delivered to Journeys | The Road Home, helping provide immediate hunger relief to our neighbors experiencing homelessness. A huge thank you to our "sandwich squad" for their time and effort!

VT Seva Detroit , February 28, 2026 Hospitality House Food Pantry

By the end of the event, Hospitality House confirmed that 4,931 pounds of food were contributed to the people we helped regarding food assistance! Our team actively supported pantry operations by restocking shelves with food products and helping customers with actively picking out their groceries. During the shift, we multitasked primarily by assisting customers in selecting food items, considering some products had limits and others depended on family size. Additionally, we restocked food supplies to ensure everything was readily available for those visiting the pantry.

VTS Youth Board 2026 Coats and Socks Drive

During the month of February, VTSEVA Detroit Youth Board has held a "Coats and Socks Drive to donate to our beneficiary, the Open Door Ministry. The Open Door Ministry is an organization that collects and organizes food and supplies to distribute them to families in need. A total of 36 coats and 33 pairs of socks were collected during this drive. These clothes will be donated to families and children in Guatemala who may need them.

On February 22nd, 2026, VT Seva Cary volunteers assisted the Asha Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting children with developmental disabilities by creating a welcoming environment for learning and social connection. Our 6 youth volunteers participated in the Best Buddies program by spending time with the children through games and interactive activities that encouraged engagement and friendship. Volunteers also helped children with physical disabilities by assisting with movement and ensuring they could comfortably participate in the activities. Although it took some time for everyone to warm up, the volunteers and children soon began interacting and enjoying the experience together. The event created a fun and supportive environment for the children while allowing volunteers to form meaningful connections and positively impact the community.

VT Seva Detroit Youth Board CASS Community Service

VT Seva volunteers had the opportunity to serve the homeless population of Detroit through CASS Community Social Services. This incredible organization shelters over 400 people and provides over 700,000 meals each year. Their cause is a testament to what service means, and we are so grateful to contribute to it every year!
