VTSeva Chicago youth volunteers helped sell plants at National India Hub, organized by VVF Farms. Organizers paid $200 for the volunteers and this amount is donated towards Feeding hope program for Netra College to feed one day

Our volunteers helped at Central Texas Food Bank and helped our local organizations to support their mission "To nourish hungry people and lead the community in the fight against hunger." This event happens every month and help provide at least 18,000 meals from each event.

outh Lead: Advithi Kothapalli ; Impact: Our volunteers were able to sort through 1,232 pounds of rescued food donations that will be delivered to families in need by Monday, supporting the fight against hunger in our own community!We are incredibly grateful to Food Gatherers, a Washtenaw County nonprofit that rescues over 10 million pounds of food annually, for giving us the opportunity to serve. With 1 in 7 people facing food insecurity, every pound of food sorted makes a huge difference.

Troy High VTSEVA volunteered at United Community Family Services, where we packaged and labeled over 1,000 envelopes containing donation forms and flyers for community outreach. UCFS works diligently to provide programs that guide, support, and empower individuals. We are grateful for the chance to support a great cause behind the scenes!

On Monday, June 23, VTS Detroit youth board had a wonderful time at the Manoogian Manor Senior Center spending time with the residents during their Monday night gathering. During the event, all the volunteers spent time talking to the seniors about their days and learning about their lives 💬, helping the seniors play lawn games like cornhole and ladder toss 🏐, and passing out some delicious, refreshing drinks that were perfect for the hot summer day 🥤. In addition, we also got to listen to some beautiful music played by Sanyog Iyengar on a keyboard that was in the facility 🎹. By the end of the event, we hadn't realized how much time has passed and the residents didn't want us to leave, but we assured them that we would be back soon enough and that we couldn't wait to spend time with them once again. Overall, we all had such a fun time at the event and can't wait for the next one! If you were not able to make it this time, hopefully we will see you at our future visits this summer!

VT SEVA Atlanta’s First Annual 3v3 Basketball Tournament: A Big hit for Team spirit and Community Service! VT SEVA Atlanta hosted its inaugural 3v3 basketball tournament on June 22nd which was a resounding success! 💫💫 Ten teams battled it out in an action-packed day filled with thrilling plays, buzzer-beaters, and unforgettable moments, all in the name of helping others. 🤝 The tournament raised over $680 for Nethra Vidyalaya visually challenged students. From intense group-stage matchups to a heart-pounding final, the competition showcased not only talent but also incredible sportsmanship and community spirit. 👍👍 Team Beckham emerged victorious in a closely contested championship game, edging out Team Kaundinya with a score of 13–11. ⛹️‍♂️⛹️ A huge thank you to all the players, supporters, volunteers. and our amazing VT Seva youths Kaudinya and Karunya whose dedication and hard work made this event successful! ✌️🏀✌️

Car Wash Fundraiser a Sunny Success!!!!🫧🫧🚗🚗 On a very hot, sunny day, a group of 10 enthusiastic kids rolled up their sleeves for a meaningful cause. With buckets, soap, scrubbers, posters and plenty of teamwork, they managed to raise a total of $365 to support one NethraVidyalaya student's education. Their teamwork, energy, and community spirit made a real difference—and showed how even small efforts can lead to big impact.

Just like in past years, VT Seva Houston collaborated with Fort Bend commissioner Pct.3 Andy Meyers on the occasion of Fort Bend County’s 3rd Annual International Yoga Day on June 21, 2025. It was an honor to meet the chief guest of the event, Sugarland Mayor Carol McCutcheon. Our awesome volunteers jumped in to help with registration and hand out water bottles to keep everyone cool and hydrated and post event cleanup activities. The day was all about celebrating the amazing benefits of yoga for our health and well-being.

VT Seva Atlanta proudly organized a special yoga session on International Yoga Day, June 21, 2025, to promote the physical and emotional well-being of our members. The session was led by our certified yoga instructor, Swamy Vendra, who guided participants through proper techniques for various asanas and pranayama practices. This event was part of our ongoing wellness initiative — weekly Saturday morning yoga sessions, which have been held consistently since January 1, 2025, and continue to this day. These sessions have become a source of renewed energy, inner peace, and community connection for all participants. We are grateful to Swamy Vendra and all our dedicated members for embracing this journey toward better health and mindfulness. 🧘‍♂️🌿✨

Each year, we continue to grow—and this year’s turnout, energy, and spirit were simply unmatched. This year's spirited tournament not only brought together passionate players, families, and volunteers but also helped us raise enough funds to support the education of 𝟏𝟐 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐚 𝐕𝐢𝐝𝐲𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐚 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫. 🎉VT Seva Atlanta Youth Workshop at Laurel Heights Hospital – A Day of Service, Smiles, and Solidarity 🎉 On June 20, 2025, VT Seva Atlanta proudly organized a Workshop at the Laurel Heights Hospital, creating a heartfelt and impactful experience for both our youth volunteers and the Special Needs children receiving treatment. This initiative provided a unique opportunity for young minds to engage meaningfully with doctors and special needs children during their summer care programs. The event began by sharing beautifully handcrafted “Thank You” cards to the hospital’s doctors and staff in appreciation of their unwavering dedication. During a warm “Greet and Meet” session, the youth introduced themselves, shared their fields of interest, and actively participated in a Q&A session with the hospital’s medical professionals, engaging in thoughtful discussions across a variety of topics. As a token of care and creativity, our youths presented cards & notebooks adorned with inspiring hand-designed cover pages to the children at the hospital. The day continued with three engaging, hands-on activity sessions: 1. Art & Creativity: In honor of the upcoming July 4th celebrations, participants created origami versions of the national bird and crafted photo frames using the colors of the American flag — encouraging creativity and patriotism. 2. Taekwondo & Self-Defense: Volunteers introduced basic Taekwondo techniques, teaching the importance of self-defense, discipline, and moral character. 3. Dance & Movement: The final session brought everyone together in a joyful dance segment that lifted spirits and added energy and laughter to the day. These thoughtful, inclusive activities not only uplifted the Special Needs kids but also inspired our volunteers, reminding all involved in the power of service and compassion.✌️♥️✌️ We extend our heartfelt thanks to Laurel Heights Hospital for their collaboration and support, and to our dedicated youth volunteers for their passion, empathy, and unwavering commitment to making a difference. Together, we created lasting memories and strengthened the bonds of community service. 💫💖

This weekend, VTSEVA volunteers rolled up their sleeves for a hands-on experience in San Jose, diving into an exciting RAFT activity! We helped sort, quality-check, and pack essential supplies for teachers—making sure everything was ready to support classrooms in need. It was a fun and fulfilling day of teamwork, service, and community impact!

Our wonderful volunteers helped pack and create sandwiches at the RMHC facility, which allowed us to donate 45 to 50 sandwiches to the Dell Children's hospital. Great job guys!
