We had our 2nd visit of the summer to Manoogian Manor Senior Center on Monday, July 21! Yet again, the weather did not cooperate with us and it was far too hot to host the bonfire outside. Despite the rough start, we still wanted to make sure we spent our time there entertaining the seniors and making this an evening they won't forget! We started playing games like cornhole, ladder toss, connect 4, and protect the penguin with the seniors, and as time went on, we even moved onto some bowling 🎳. The seniors loved all the games and were so happy to see us again! Overall, this was yet another wonderful evening spent with the seniors, and we can't wait to come back in August! VT Seva Bay Area volunteers recently demonstrated their dedication to environmental stewardship by taking part in a creek cleanup initiative at a new location in Milpitas, California. With a strong commitment to serving the community and protecting natural habitats, the volunteers worked tirelessly to remove litter and debris along the creek. Their collective efforts resulted in the removal of over 200 pounds of trash, significantly improving the health and beauty of the local ecosystem. This initiative highlights VT Seva’s ongoing mission to inspire positive change through hands-on service and community engagement.

Walkathon Event VT Seva Cary youth and adult volunteers participated in the Walkathon, coming together to promote health, community spirit, and service. Volunteers supported the event by assisting with logistics, guiding participants, and spreading awareness about VT Seva’s mission. The Walkathon not only encouraged fitness and togetherness but also served as a platform to highlight Sadaya and other initiatives that empower visually challenged students. Through their dedication, the volunteers showcased how service can be woven into community activities, inspiring others to join the movement of kindness.

On July 20th, VT SEVA Detroit along with JET MI had the amazing opportunity to host an informational & promotional stall at the ISKCON Ratha Yatra Festival. It was a record turnout for the festival this year with over 15000 people coming to the event. Our VT Seva youth & adult volunteers walked around the event with posters and flyers, spreading the word about VT Seva Detroit’s 10th Annual RAAS 2025, an event celebrating the resilience, independence and achievements of the visually challenged students of Nethra Vidyalaya & tribal school students in India.

This weekend, VTSEVA volunteers rolled up their sleeves for a hands-on experience in San Jose, diving into an exciting RAFT activity! We helped sort, quality-check, and pack essential supplies for teachers—making sure everything was ready to support classrooms in need. It was a fun and fulfilling day of teamwork, service, and community impact!

Seattle youth and adult volunteers came together to keep the Lake McDonald neighborhood clean and safe. This is our annual event and the road is dedicated to all the proud volunteers of VT Seva.

VT Seva youth from Northview High School recently organized Mock SAT exams to help fellow high school students strengthen their test-taking skills and improve time management. A total of 28 students participated in this hands-on SAT prep experience. Students found the sessions extremely valuable as they gained practical exposure to the new Digital SAT format, helping them build confidence for the real test. 💡 These mock exams were not only educational but also impactful. Through this initiative, our youth successfully raised $1,400, which will go toward supporting the education of visually challenged students at Nethra Vidyalaya in India. 🌍 ⚠️ Please note: VT Seva is not a SAT tutoring organization. We are a youth-led service organization, and these sessions were offered in good faith by volunteers purely to support their peers through collaborative learning and community service. 👏 A big thank you to Adithya and all the students and volunteers who made this initiative a success - making a difference one step at a time!

VT Seva Cary partnered with Buddies@Asha for a Best Buddies session at the Asha Foundation. Youth volunteers paired with children with special needs to enjoy sports, arts and crafts, and board games—creating an inclusive, joyful environment. The event fostered friendships, teamwork, and a sense of belonging for all participants. VT Seva Cary is proud to support this mission of inclusion and connection.

At the NATS Sambarlu event, 20 youth volunteers from VT Seva Cary came together to serve with energy and dedication. They assisted in multiple activities including event logistics, guiding participants, and supporting organizers to ensure smooth operations. In addition, the youth actively engaged with attendees to spread awareness about VT Seva’s mission, sharing how service initiatives like Sadaya empower visually challenged students in India. Their presence at such a large cultural gathering showcased the strength of youth leadership and the importance of community outreach. The volunteers not only contributed to the success of the event but also inspired others to join hands in service and compassion.
