VTSEVA Bay Area volunteers enthusiastically came together, each contributing their time and creativity to write heartfelt, uplifting letters to seniors in the community. VT Seva Maryland Celebrates Unity and Service at the 2nd Annual Multicultural and Volunteer Excellence Night! 🌟 VT Seva Maryland recently celebrated a vibrant evening on November 15, 2025, at Windsor Knolls Middle School in Ijamsville, MD. The event served a dual purpose: a celebration of our community's rich cultural diversity and a platform to honor the outstanding contributions of our youth and adult volunteers. Through a showcase of music, dance, art, and cultural displays, we highlighted the richness of our Frederick community while inspiring young leaders to embrace service as a fundamental way of life. The "Volunteer Excellence" portion of the evening recognized the incredible dedication of students and families who generously give their time and energy to meaningful causes. This dual focus on culture and service demonstrates how community pride and volunteerism go hand in hand in building stronger, more compassionate communities. We were especially honored to receive official recognition from our esteemed county leadership. Donated with Heart. 💙 Proud to share that our VT Seva youth team successfully organized a Canned Food Drive, collecting and donating over 500 vegetarian canned goods, totaling 6,500+ ounces of food to Meals By Grace! 🙌 Our goal was simple: support families in need with healthy, shelf-stable food options. Grateful to all who donated, spread the word, and helped make this service effort a success. Together, we’re nourishing lives and building compassionate communities. 💪🌱

The VT Seva Innovation Academy High School chapter, with special thanks to youth volunteer Neel Irkal for organizing the event, hosted a Diwali celebration on November 8th at the Sandy Springs Library. The event welcomed 43 attendees and offered a variety of activities designed to highlight the cultural significance of the Festival of Lights. 🪔🌺Participants engaged in paper crafts, games, and a photo booth, and volunteers provided instruction on creating basic rangoli designs ✴️🔯 and using simple rangoli stencils. The event was well-received and provided a welcoming space for community members of all ages to learn, participate, and connect. We are thankful to everyone who came out and made the event such a success!

Continuing the Sanskriti celebrations, VT Seva Cary volunteers supported large-scale event coordination at the Radha Krishna Mandir. Their teamwork across various activity stations helped maintain a welcoming, well-organized environment for all attendees.

VT Seva youths volunteered this morning at Texas Diaper Bank San Antonio, a non-profit organization providing diapers, incontinence supplies, and menstrual essentials to families in need.

During October and November 2025, VT Seva South Forsyth youths led the 1000 Paper Cranes Project, working with youth leader Rathna Malapati and Wellstar North Fulton Hospital. On November 25th, all volunteers will come together at the library to sew the cranes into beautiful strands which will be used to decorate the Wellstar North Fulton Hospital in December.🏥 The tradition of dedicatedly folding 1000 paper cranes is a beautiful symbol of health, longevity, and good luck for all the hospital staff and patients, and it has been a great way for VT Seva Atlanta youths to give back something meaningful to their community. ♥️✌️ This project is extremely successful with 1100+ paper cranes created by over 30 youth in various colors. ❤️💙💚 We are very grateful for all of our youth for working hard on their well-crafted cranes and Rathna Malapati for her wonderful project idea, her leadership in project planning, and her design for the paper crane strand. We also thank Wellstar North Fulton Hospital 🏥 for providing such a great opportunity for our youth to serve the community with kindness and dedication!👍

West Forsyth High School’s VT Seva club participated in the Meals by Grace Sunday service the weekend before Thanksgiving. Our youth helped pack canned goods, load trunks with festive ingredients, create encouraging cards for families facing challenges during the holiday season, and assemble break bags for children in need of snacks and food over the Thanksgiving break. Together, we supported more than 100 families — a meaningful impact made possible by our incredible team of volunteers.✌️♥️✌️

VT Seva Virginia participated in the FLL Robotics competition. Congrats to team Fossil Finders and special congrats to our youth board members who have mentored the kids for the competition. Team Fossil Finders for going to States. Kudos to Ninad and Venkat for mentoring the kids and taking them to states. It is hard work of 3-4 months mentoring the kids and making them capable to win and go to states

VT Seva Cary continued its commitment to community service with two impactful volunteering sessions at the Durham Rescue Mission – Men’s Campus. A team of 20 youth and 4 adult volunteers came together to serve meals and offer support to individuals experiencing homelessness. Durham Rescue Mission, North Carolina’s oldest and largest non-profit homeless shelter, has long been a partner in our service journey. Over the years, this has become one of VT Seva Cary’s core volunteering events, and we are honored to be consistently invited back to contribute. This time was especially meaningful, as our volunteers helped with one of the mission’s most essential services—serving hot meals to the men who find shelter and hope at the Rescue Mission. It was a powerful reminder of the impact we can make right here in our own communities. We are proud to stand alongside Durham Rescue Mission in their mission to uplift lives, and we look forward to continuing this partnership in the months ahead.

VT Seva Detroit Nov 22, 2025 Forgotten Harvest Volunteering Event Youth Lead: Sanjay Ramamoorthy Total number of volunteers: 12 Impact: Our volunteers were able to pack over 2000 pounds of food that will be delivered to families in need by Thanksgiving, supporting the fight against hunger in our own community! In total, we were able to help 725 families! . All of our volunteers worked hard in various areas such as: • Sorting food donations in the freezer, identifying whether each item was safe for delivery, compostable, or ready for disposal • Ensuring all rescued items were properly categorized before being sent out to over 150 community partner organizations • Helping maintain a clean sorting environment
