VT Seva Detroit Dec 7th Destined for Greatness

LOCATION:

Detroit

December 7, 2025 at 5:00:00 AM

*VT Seva Detroit Dec 7, 2025 – Destined for Greatness* *Youth Lead: Ishaan Jaseen* *Impact:* Our volunteers helped support over 500 families in the Detroit area. Our volunteers made a meaningful impact by helping support more than 500 families in the Detroit area. On December 7th, 2025, youth and adult volunteers teamed up at Destined for Greatness to prepare clothing for distribution on December 18th. This wasn’t just a sorting activity—it helped set the stage for a warm, welcoming experience for community members who will be receiving these items. When families come on the 18th, the Destined for Greatness team also takes time to learn about any challenges they may be dealing with, such as job difficulties, housing instability, or personal well-being concerns. They then guide individuals toward resources that can offer real support. Our efforts directly contributed to making that environment of care and assistance possible. A big thank-you to all the adults who guided and supported the youth volunteers. *Youth Volunteers:* *Ishaan Jaseen* *Nehaan Jaseen* *Sanjay Ramamoorthy* *Rithvik Mullapudi* *Varun Aerabati* *Raja Ameya Yeddula* *Tejas Raja* *Manya Sri Narasepalli* *Arshi Narasepalli* *Harini Kopparapu* *Adult Volunteers:* *Vanitha Gopalan* *Suresh Rajan* *Nesneen Rasool* *Jaseen Shamsuddin* *Santoshi* Thank you to everyone who participated and helped support a cause that extends beyond clothing to uplift people facing real challenges.

VT Seva Detroit Dec 6th Fleece and Thank you

LOCATION:

Detroit

December 6, 2025 at 5:00:00 AM

On Dec 6, 2025, VT Seva Detroit volunteers spent the day helping at Fleece & Thank You, an organization that prepares fleece blankets for kids in hospitals. *Youth lead: Harini Kopparapu* *Impact*: *196* blankets were done which will be sent to those kids with terminal illness in hospitals, helping make them more comfortable in their rooms and making the stressful process a little less harder We learned how the blanket process works from start to finish. The fleece comes from different places around the world, gets cut by partners, and then is sent to us. Our job was to match the fleece pieces, line them up, fold them, heat-press the logo patch, and roll them into kits. These kits are later sent out to people who finish tying the blankets. After blankets are completed, they go through a hospital-grade wash and then get delivered to hospitals that request them. Kids who get the blankets can even send a thank-you video back. These are our wonderful volunteers who participated. *Youth*: Harini Kopparapu, Dhruvi Shah, Dhruva Vankayalapati, Aaryan Gajawada, Sri Samudrala, Drithi Bathula, Shanya Kota, Lukshay Raj Are, Khanindra Raj Are, Varun Aerabati, Sanjay Ramamoorthy, Swathi Aayushi Alluri *Adults:* Santoshi Kopparapu, Vanita Gopalan VT Seva Detroit expresses sincere gratitude to our volunteers for their support & Fleece&Thank you for giving these great opportunities.

November 29, 2025 at 5:00:00 AM

VT Seva Maryland Celebrates Unity and Service at the 2nd Annual Multicultural and Volunteer Excellence Night! 🌟 VT Seva Maryland recently celebrated a vibrant evening on November 15, 2025, at Windsor Knolls Middle School in Ijamsville, MD. The event served a dual purpose: a celebration of our community's rich cultural diversity and a platform to honor the outstanding contributions of our youth and adult volunteers. A Message from Our Youth Leaders Team - By Mridula Vasudevan, Youth Director for Global Partnership and National Projects, VT Seva Maryland Our aim with this event was clear: to foster understanding and unity by bringing together people from all backgrounds to share traditions, performances, and stories. Through a showcase of music, dance, art, and cultural displays, we highlighted the richness of our Frederick community while inspiring young leaders to embrace service as a fundamental way of life. The "Volunteer Excellence" portion of the evening recognized the incredible dedication of students and families who generously give their time and energy to meaningful causes. This dual focus on culture and service demonstrates how community pride and volunteerism go hand in hand in building stronger, more compassionate communities. We were especially honored to receive official recognition from our esteemed county leadership. We extend our deepest gratitude to County Executive Jessica Fitzwater Jessica Fitzwater for Frederick County Frederick County Executive Jessica Fitzwater and County Council President Brad Young Brad W.
