VT Seva Maryland Hosts Thermal Energy Workshop

LOCATION:

The VT Seva Maryland team successfully conducted a Thermal Energy workshop on October 12th at the Urbana Regional Library. Anwesha Parida - Youthleader of the Maryland VTSeva Branch lead the event, which took place from 1:00 pm to 2:45 pm. During the workshop, participants learned about the fundamentals of thermal energy and its applications in cardboard ovens. The attendees then engaged in a hands-on activity, creating their own cardboard ovens using step-by-step instructions and provided materials. The event provided an excellent opportunity for the organizers to develop essential skills such as confidence, responsibility, and communication. The interactive nature of the workshop kept the kids engaged and focused throughout. The event's success was largely due to the support of dedicated volunteers. Special thanks to Aarushi Shrivastava, Aryan Shriramoju, Nirvi Bijjala, Chetan Sai Kankanala, Akansha Subramaniam, Ms. Sandhya, Ms. Deepa, and Ms. Sobana Vasudevan for their valuable contributions.

🏸 🎉 VT Seva ATL's 1st Badminton Tournament - A Smashing Success! 🎉🏸

On October 12th, VT Seva Atlanta hosted its first-ever Badminton Tournament, and what an incredible event it was! With over 60 youth participants, the day was filled with fun, fitness, and fundraising — all for a meaningful cause. ♥️ We are proud to share that proceeds from this tournament will support two blind/visually challenged students from Nethra Vidyalaya, India. Your participation and generosity are making a real difference!✌️ 🙌 A Huge Shout-Out to the Lambert & Alliance Youth Teams! Thank you for leading this initiative with heart, dedication, and true community spirit. Your leadership made this event a reality! 🏆 Celebrating Our Champions! It was a fun and fulfilling day of teamwork, service, and community impact!

On October 11th, 2025, VTSeva Detroit collaborated with Motown Soup to help seal bags of food, put labels on food packages, and to help pack soup mixes. Motown Soup is a non-profit organization that makes food to sell to others, and the profits that come from the food go to those who are in need at the end of the year.

VT Seva ATL Community Booth

On October 11th, VT Seva Atlanta organized a community booth to raise awareness about volunteering opportunities and to support the education of students at Nethra Vidyalaya. ♥️✌️ A dedicated team of youth and adults came together to make the event a success. The booth featured a variety of plants—including Tulsi, Ajwain, and Insulin plants—alongside beautifully crafted rangoli ✴️ and vibrant diyas. 🪔Thanks to everyone’s support, we successfully raised more than $230 for this noble cause! We’re excited to share that over 30 new volunteers joined the VT Seva Atlanta family, expressing interest in upcoming service activities! 🌟🌟

VTSeva Chicago volunteers went to Northern Illinois Food Bank to pack potatoes! During this activity, we even added a personal touch by packing a few heart-shaped potatoes, sending our love to those in need. This session was a unique experience for us as we all played a part to make a positive impact on someone’s life!

Chicago - Origami Tulip Bouquets for hospital staff

A group of volunteers from Chicago came together to show appreciation for our everyday heroes — the doctors who work tirelessly to keep us healthy and safe. With creativity, care, and a whole lot of heart, handcrafted beautiful origami flowers as a small token of gratitude.  Thank you to our amazing volunteers for turning paper into petals, and appreciation into art. You truly made a difference!

VT Seva Houston- Susan G. Komen Race for Breast cancer

On October 4th, 2025, VT SEVA Houston members volunteered at the Susan G. Komen Race, an organization that supports women who battle breast cancer and honoring those who have lost their fight. Our volunteers assisted participants by passing out water and fruits, while enthusiastically cheering them on throughout the course. Despite the early morning start, our members’ dedication and enthusiasm never wavered. As an organization committed to service, VT Seva strives to make a positive impact to uplift communities and extend heartfelt support to those affected by breast cancer. Chicago - Posters making for presenting at Green Fair

On Sunday, September 14, a group of volunteers came together in a youth center to make trifold for green fair. These trifles included habits that better fit the environment, like waste materials, and waste management rules. These posters will be presented at Green Fair . Visitors will be encouraged to change small habits which can have bigger impact on the environment.

Our VT Seva Detroit youth volunteers spent the morning serving at the Capuchin Soup Kitchen in Detroit, an organization that provides meals and support to homeless individuals, low-income families, and senior citizens in need. Together, we served over 350 people! The group worked side by side packaging meals and assembling trays that were later distributed to underprivileged members of the Detroit community who rely on the soup kitchen daily. This experience gave our youth a new perspective on the importance of helping those in need while also highlighting the power of teamwork and compassion. We are very proud of our volunteers for dedicating their time and energy to make a difference!

VT Seva Maryland - LHS VTS Club Conducts Stadium Cleanup at LHS

On October 4th, the VTS Club at Linganore High School organized a stadium cleanup event, promoting community service and environmental responsibility. 🎉🎉 VT Seva ATL Vickery Creek Middle School Youth Club's First Meeting of the Year! 🎉🎉

Vickery Creek Middle School VT Seva Youth Club held its first meeting on Sunday, October 4th 2025, where student leaders introduced the VT Seva mission, shared the club's objectives, and outlined the planned activities for the upcoming quarter. It was a strong and promising start, with great enthusiasm from the participants. The club is looking forward to involving more students in upcoming volunteer initiatives such as the Candy Drive, Card-Making for a Cause, and the Badminton Tournament. Exciting opportunities ahead for youth to learn, lead, and serve!

VTS Detroit - Troy High - Cancer Awareness Poster and Club Meeting

Troy High VTS conducted the meeting and created cancer awareness posters to show support for individuals affected by the disease as this is cancer awareness month. The experience was both meaningful and educational, bringing us together to better understand the widespread impact of cancer.
