VT Seva Seattle UTSAV 2025 - Annual Fundraiser
Join us for Utsav 2025, our annual fundraiser celebrating empathy and resilience. Together, we support Jeeyar Gurukulam and Nethra Vidyalaya, schools that provide free education and boarding to visually challenged and underprivileged children in India. From a handful of tribal Thandas to nearly 25 villages today, this effort has created lasting generational change—thanks to your continued generosity.

VT Seva Atlanta Youth Serve with Heart and Purpose at Meals By Grace - June 19, 2025

VT Seva Youth showed incredible compassion and dedication during the Meals By Grace event on June 19th. This pantry service project focuses on sorting, packing, and delivering nutritious meals and essential pantry items to families in need — and our volunteers stepped up with energy and purpose.✌️⭐️ From sorting and packing to making home deliveries, our youth volunteers embraced every task with enthusiasm. Their efforts not only filled pantries but also brought hope and dignity to the families served.🙂✴️ We are incredibly proud of these young changemakers. Their generosity, teamwork, and compassion made a meaningful impact on the community and inspired everyone around them. 💫 This service opportunity was more than just a day of volunteering—it was a powerful reminder of the difference young leaders can make when they lead with heart. ♥️ We are deeply grateful for their commitment and honored to have them as part of the VT Seva family! 🤝

𝐕𝐓 𝐒𝐄𝐕𝐀 𝐃𝐄𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐈𝐓 𝐊𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐳𝐨𝐨, 𝟐𝟗𝐭𝐡 𝐉𝐮𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 𝐃𝐀𝐕 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐉𝐄𝐂𝐓 𝐈𝐌𝐏𝐀𝐂𝐓: Our volunteers made over 1000 forget me not flowers to give to our veterans. Forget Me Not National Day is on November 10th in the USA & it is a special day that reminds us to honor and support veterans who have returned from service with injuries and disabilities. During this activity, our youth volunteers exhibited great team work & it was a fun team building experience as well.

Plant sale at National India Hub

VTSeva Chicago youth volunteers helped sell plants at National India Hub, organized by VVF Farms. Organizers paid $200 for the volunteers and this amount is donated towards Feeding hope program for Netra College to feed one day

Central Texas Food Bank

Our volunteers helped at Central Texas Food Bank and helped our local organizations to support their mission "To nourish hungry people and lead the community in the fight against hunger." This event happens every month and help provide at least 18,000 meals from each event.

On June 28th, VT Seva Cary strengthened its ongoing partnership with the Diaper Bank of North Carolina, bringing together dedicated volunteers to support families in need. During this service event, volunteers worked diligently to wrap thousands of diapers and hygiene products, helping ensure that every household has access to basic necessities that promote dignity, health, and quality of life. The Diaper Bank addresses diaper insecurity—a challenge that affects families living in poverty and creates barriers to education, employment, and overall well-being. By providing essential items like diapers and menstrual products, the organization helps caregivers focus on their families without the added stress of unmet basic needs. VT Seva Cary is proud to contribute to this mission through recurring service events. Each diaper wrapped represents care, compassion, and a commitment to uplifting our community. We look forward to continuing this partnership and expanding our impact for families across North Carolina.

VT Seva Detroit June 28, 2025 Food Gatherers Volunteering Event

outh Lead: Advithi Kothapalli ; Impact: Our volunteers were able to sort through 1,232 pounds of rescued food donations that will be delivered to families in need by Monday, supporting the fight against hunger in our own community!We are incredibly grateful to Food Gatherers, a Washtenaw County nonprofit that rescues over 10 million pounds of food annually, for giving us the opportunity to serve. With 1 in 7 people facing food insecurity, every pound of food sorted makes a huge difference.

Twelve youth volunteers from VT Seva Cary participated in the Apex Invasive Removal Project, working together to clear invasive plants and protect native species. Their teamwork restored balance to the local ecosystem while teaching valuable lessons in environmental stewardship. The effort made a visible difference in Apex’s green spaces and inspired the youth to care for community resources. Overall, the project showed how youth service can strengthen both the environment and the spirit of community.

Troy High VTSEVA volunteered at United Community Family Services, where we packaged and labeled over 1,000 envelopes containing donation forms and flyers for community outreach. UCFS works diligently to provide programs that guide, support, and empower individuals. We are grateful for the chance to support a great cause behind the scenes!

VTS Detroit YB Manoogian Senior Center Visit

On Monday, June 23, VTS Detroit youth board had a wonderful time at the Manoogian Manor Senior Center spending time with the residents during their Monday night gathering. During the event, all the volunteers spent time talking to the seniors about their days and learning about their lives 💬, helping the seniors play lawn games like cornhole and ladder toss 🏐, and passing out some delicious, refreshing drinks that were perfect for the hot summer day 🥤. In addition, we also got to listen to some beautiful music played by Sanyog Iyengar on a keyboard that was in the facility 🎹. By the end of the event, we hadn't realized how much time has passed and the residents didn't want us to leave, but we assured them that we would be back soon enough and that we couldn't wait to spend time with them once again. Overall, we all had such a fun time at the event and can't wait for the next one! If you were not able to make it this time, hopefully we will see you at our future visits this summer!

A Day of Service at Shirdi Sai Baba Temple

3v3 Basketball Tournament

VT SEVA Atlanta’s First Annual 3v3 Basketball Tournament: A Big hit for Team spirit and Community Service! VT SEVA Atlanta hosted its inaugural 3v3 basketball tournament on June 22nd which was a resounding success! 💫💫 Ten teams battled it out in an action-packed day filled with thrilling plays, buzzer-beaters, and unforgettable moments, all in the name of helping others. 🤝 The tournament raised over $680 for Nethra Vidyalaya visually challenged students. From intense group-stage matchups to a heart-pounding final, the competition showcased not only talent but also incredible sportsmanship and community spirit. 👍👍 Team Beckham emerged victorious in a closely contested championship game, edging out Team Kaundinya with a score of 13–11. ⛹️♂️⛹️ A huge thank you to all the players, supporters, volunteers. and our amazing VT Seva youths Kaudinya and Karunya whose dedication and hard work made this event successful! ✌️🏀✌️

Brown bag Ministry

The Brown Bag Ministry, in partnership with VT Seva Cary, created a meaningful opportunity for service and compassion. Seven youth volunteers from VT Seva Cary came together with energy and dedication to prepare meals for those in need. Their teamwork transformed simple tasks into moments of connection and joy. Each bag carried not only food but also a message of care and dignity. The youth learned the value of serving others with humility and gratitude. Through this experience, they strengthened bonds of friendship and community. The ministry gave them a chance to see firsthand the challenges faced by the hungry. It inspired them to think about long‑term solutions and their role in creating change. Parents and community members were proud to witness the youth’s leadership in action. Overall, the Brown Bag Ministry with VT Seva Cary left a lasting impact by showing how small acts of kindness can ripple outward to touch many lives.

Durham Rescue Mission

Later in the month, VT Seva Cary volunteers returned to the Durham Rescue Mission to continue supporting its vital work for individuals experiencing homelessness. At North Carolina’s oldest and largest non-profit homeless shelter, volunteers served meals at the men’s campus and assisted with additional tasks, helping provide nourishment and comfort to those in need. This effort reflects VT Seva Cary’s ongoing commitment to compassion, outreach, and building a stronger, more inclusive community.
