Project Lead: Rishabh Mavatoor On *May 17th, 2025 VTSEVA Detroit youth board*, had an amazing time volunteering at the Focus Hope organization. Volunteers helped pack non perishble items, canned foods, dry food, and drinks into boxes and got them ready to be delivered. We were able to make around 1000 food boxes and 100 personal hygiene boxes, and these boxes would be delivered to seniors at churches and apartments

On May 17th, volunteers from VT Seva partnered with SRACLC for an exciting afternoon filled with outdoor games, laughter, and community connection. The collaboration between VT Seva and SRACLC highlighted the power of inclusion, teamwork, and service. Adopt‑a‑Park – Apex Location Twelve youth volunteers from VT Seva Cary participated in the Adopt‑a‑Park service activity. They worked together to paint and refresh areas of the park, helping beautify the space for the community. The project showcased teamwork, responsibility, and the spirit of youth leadership in caring for public spaces. Through their efforts, the volunteers not only improved the park’s appearance but also strengthened VT Seva’s commitment to environmental stewardship and community service.

🪴 April Cool Plant Sale – A Blooming Success! 🪴 VT Seva Atlanta’s April Cool Plant Sale, held on May 17–18, 2025, was a vibrant event where youth volunteers embraced teamwork and environmental stewardship. 🌱🌸 In the weeks leading up to the event, our dedicated team nurtured each plant with care. During the sale, youth took the lead—selling plants, sharing plant care tips, and displaying handmade educational posters. 🌻🍀 Thanks to their hard work and community support, we raised around $6k to benefit blind and visually challenged students! 💚 More than just a fundraiser, this was a meaningful opportunity to grow, connect, and give back. We’re excited for more such events ahead! ✨

Students from all grades came together in the IA courtyard to paint rocks with kind and positive messages. The goal was to spread good vibes and make our school a happier place for everyone. It was a fun way for everyone to show kindness and remind each other that small, nice things can make a big difference. These kindness rocks are placed in the courtyard because it’s a special spot where students often take breaks and recharge. While spending time there, reading these uplifting messages helps create a peaceful and positive atmosphere, encouraging everyone to feel supported throughout their day.

On April 26th , VT Seva Atlanta youths participated in the Old Atlanta Road clean as part of Adopt-A-Road program. Youths picked up litter along the roadway which helped to keep roadsides clean and beautiful. This kind of inspiring act shows how youths care about our planet. This program also helps engage our youths in community service and demonstrate their community pride.

This weekend, our youth came together to create something truly special in honor of Mother’s Day! 💖 They designed personalized photo frames featuring a custom Mother’s Day visual tribute created by our youth board member Sathkrith Segu, beautifully reflecting VT Seva’s values of love, gratitude, and family. These thoughtful gifts were presented to their moms, capturing cherished memories in a creative and heartfelt way. In the spirit of giving back, the youth also made handmade cards for seniors in memory care centers. Each card was decorated with care and included a touching poem, sharing warmth and love beyond their own homes. Project Lead: Oviya Jaishankar To celebrate Mother’s Day and Father's Day, our *VT Seva Detroit Youth Board members* once again brought joy to a very special group of people through their creativity and compassion. This year, our youth created heartfelt Mother’s Day and Father's Day greeting cards that were delivered to residents at the *Manoogian Manor and Woodhaven Retirement Community*.

Celebrating Mother’s Day In celebration of this special day, VT SEVA Chicago youth board members visited Lake County Haven, a local women’s shelter, to spread joy and appreciation. We delivered beautifully handmade flowers to the incredible women and mothers at the shelter, along with essential items from their wishlist, including bath towels and lotion. These items were purchased using the $200 we raised—with the generous support of Libertyville High School and their club, SASA. Together, we were able to brighten the day of these inspiring women and make a meaningful impact in our community.

As part of our commitment to serving the community, VTSEVA volunteers participated in a rewarding food sorting event at the Alameda County Community Food Bank, where we joined others in packing food for individuals and families in need. With dedication and teamwork, we helped sort an incredible 39,696 pounds of food—equivalent to 32,948 meals—with a Meals Per Volunteer (MPV) rate of 270. It was a fun, meaningful experience that brought us together for a greater cause, and we’re proud to have made a positive impact by supporting the fight against hunger in our local community.

This weekend, VTSEVA volunteers proudly took root in San Jose by participating in a meaningful City Forest tree planting event. With shovels in hand and passion in our hearts, we rolled up our sleeves and worked side by side to help beautify and restore our local environment. In addition to planting trees, we also painted benches and picked up litter, contributing to a cleaner, greener, and more inviting community space. From digging and mulching to adding fresh coats of paint and clearing debris, every action we took made a visible impact. The day was filled with purpose, teamwork, and environmental stewardship, reminding us that small efforts—when done together—can grow into lasting change. We’re proud to be part of a movement that strengthens both our environment and our community—one tree, one bench, and one act of service at a time.

Grow to Empower- VTSeva Austin "Caring Mother Earth to support her children " Our adult and youth volunteers have organized Plant fundraise to support visually challenged education while growing the wishes in your backyard. Thanks to our adult volunteers who worked and cared the plants for last two months. Our youth who helped in reaching out to community and fundraised during the stall we did at Chowrastha indusn eatry at austin. So far we could raise funds to educate 3 visually challenged students for an year .
