Thank you to everyone who volunteered at the Green Fair! We had a great time sharing simple ways to protect the environment, like turning off lights and fans when not in use and taking shorter showers. We also helped raise awareness about which items shouldn't go in the trash or recycling bins. Wonderful work by all, thanks again for being part of it!

Throughout September 2025, VT Seva Cary 30 youth volunteers dedicated their Sundays to building meaningful relationships with special needs children @ Asha Foundation. For four consecutive weeks, our volunteers met for 1.5 hours every Sunday, engaging in heartwarming activities that brought smiles, laughter, and love. On September 28, we wrapped up the month with a beautiful day of celebration—filled with arts and crafts, games, music, and storytelling. These moments weren’t just fun—they were transformative. Volunteers and children connected deeply, shared joy, and created friendships that go beyond words. 🌟 Thank You, Volunteers! Your consistency, compassion, and enthusiasm made a lasting impact. Week after week, you showed up with open hearts and helped create a space of inclusion, warmth, and joy. VT Seva Cary’s First Visit to Sunrise Senior Care: A Heartwarming Start! 🌟On September 28th 2025. 9 youth and 2 adult volunteers from VT Seva Cary embarked on a beautiful new journey—bringing joy, laughter, and companionship to the residents of Sunrise Senior Care. It was our first-ever intergenerational outreach event at this location, and the smiles said it all! 🤝 Building Bridges Across GenerationsOur young changemakers lit up the room with: Cheerful conversations and playful activities Genuine connections that warmed hearts A spirit of service that uplifted everyone involved From sharing stories to playing games, every interaction was a reminder of the power of kindness. The seniors felt seen and celebrated, while our youth discovered the importance of empathy and the joy of making a difference. Thank you to Sunrise Senior Care for welcoming us so warmly. On September 27th, VT Seva Houston hosted a Childhood Cancer Awareness Seminar at Sri Ashtalakshmi Temple from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM, bringing together community members to learn about the impact of childhood cancer and the importance of early detection and support. The seminar featured two distinguished cancer specialists, Dr. Santhosshi Narayanan, Integrative Oncologist at MD Anderson Cancer Center, and Dr. Hima Boppidi, Doctor of Oncology at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, who shared valuable insights on cancer prevention and Paediatric oncology, recent advancements in treatment, and strategies for recognizing early warning signs. Their talks provided both medical knowledge and preventive insights, helping attendees understand the underlying causes of childhood cancer and ways to promote early detection and healthier lifestyles. The event drew a turnout of about 30 participants, including families, students, and local volunteers, who engaged in thoughtful discussion and an interactive Q&A session. The program was led by three youth leaders of VT Seva Houston: Srisamhita, Anisha, and Siddharth, whose coordination and dedication ensured a successful and meaningful event. Their efforts reflected VT Seva’s mission of inspiring service, compassion, and youth-driven community involvement. Overall, the seminar served as a powerful reminder of the importance of awareness, early intervention, and collective support in the fight against childhood cancer. VT Seva Cary Volunteers Support Dignity Through Diaper Bank Partnership On September 27, 2025, VT Seva Cary continued its meaningful partnership with the Diaper Bank of North Carolina, with 8 youth volunteers and 3 adult volunteers coming together to support families in need. Volunteers helped wrap an incredible 19,800 diapers and 200 menstrual napkins, contributing directly to the Diaper Bank’s mission of ensuring that every household has access to basic hygiene necessities that uphold dignity, health, and quality of life. The Diaper Bank serves families with small children who are living in poverty, working to eliminate the stress and hardship caused by diaper insecurity. Their work helps remove barriers to education, employment, and personal fulfillment—especially for caregivers who struggle to afford these essential items. VT Seva Cary is proud to sustain this partnership through recurring service events, allowing our volunteers to make a tangible impact in the lives of local families. Each wrapped diaper and hygiene product represents care, compassion, and a commitment to community well-being. We look forward to continuing this collaboration and deepening our support for families across North Carolina.

On September 28, 2025, VT Seva Detroit volunteers came together for our Fall Adopt-A-Road event, working hand in hand to keep our community cleaner and greener. With great energy and teamwork, our youth and adult volunteers cleared litter, beautified the surroundings, and showed what service through action truly means. This initiative not only keeps our roads safe and pleasant but also spreads awareness of environmental responsibility. Every small step taken today adds up to a healthier tomorrow.

On September 27th VT Seva ATL Lambert High School organized a Diya Workshop. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗿𝘀, 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁! 🌸 We loved seeing everyone bring their imagination to life by painting and decorating beautiful diyas. From bright patterns to glittering designs, each diya was unique and filled with joy. In this workshop they raised $150 and during the 2025 SUBHA event they have raised $72 with the artwork that the youths participated throughout the year.

On Friday, September 26, VT Seva Cary proudly launched its recurring fall service partnership with the Miracle League. Seven dedicated youth volunteers joined this inspiring initiative, which offers children with special needs the opportunity to experience the joy of playing baseball. The Miracle League is committed to breaking down barriers and creating inclusive spaces where every child can participate. Through a thoughtful buddy system, each child is paired with an able-bodied peer, fostering meaningful friendships and unforgettable moments on the field. This program serves children with physical or developmental disabilities who may not have access to traditional sports leagues. Our volunteers brought energy, compassion, and encouragement to the game, helping create a day filled with smiles, teamwork, and connection. VT Seva Cary is honored to support this mission and looks forward to continuing our involvement throughout the season. Together, we are building a community where every child feels seen, supported, and celebrated.

On September 25th, 2025 VT Seva ATL Lambert High School Youth Club held its first meeting of the year at the school library. 💫💫 During the session, student leaders shared the mission of VT Seva, outlined the goals of the youth club, and presented an overview of this year’s planned service activities. They also actively discussed organizing an upcoming Badminton Tournament — covering ideas for flyers, promo videos, and event logistics.🌟🌟 It was a great display of teamwork and initiative by the Lambert Youth Club. We’re looking forward to a fantastic tournament ahead. Kudos to the Lambert youth team! ♥️✌️

We kicked off the year with our very first club meeting, where new members got to connect with us, learn more about our plans, and share ideas for future activities. Right after, our first group project brought everyone together to decorate for homecoming.

On Saturday, September 20, 2025, a group of volunteers came together to prepare peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for our community. In total, we made 50 sandwiches and packed them into bags with other treats, creating thoughtful care packages to share. The kick-off meeting brought together 30 enthusiastic students and adults 👩‍🎓👨‍🎓, all joining forces to plan and finalize details for the big celebration on December 21st 📅. Their passion, teamwork, and dedication shined throughout the session 💪✨. We can’t wait to see their efforts light up the stage 🎭 and make this year’s event a truly memorable one!

On September 21, 2025, VT Seva Atlanta proudly hosted its 5th annual flagship event, 𝐒𝐔𝐁𝐇𝐀 - 𝐚 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡-𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭, 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞. Our talented youth lit up the stage with 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬, 𝐯𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬, 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐭 𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲. The event began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony and prayers by our Prajna students, setting a sacred and meaningful tone for the evening. We were deeply honored to welcome distinguished guests including: Shri Ramesh Babu Lakshmanan, Consul General of India, Mr. Corey Jackson, CEO, Laurel Heights Hospital. Dr. Madhuri Seth, Mr. Pramod Sajja, CEO, Farm to Plate, Dr. Venkat, Cumming Dental Following a warm welcome from our dynamic emcees, both the American and Indian National Anthems were presented, celebrating pride and unity. Dr. Madhu Nemani, Director of VT Seva Atlanta, delivered the welcome address, highlighting the chapter’s inspiring journey and exponential 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟏 𝐭𝐨 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓. She shared that VT Seva Atlanta now has: Over 1,500 dedicated volunteers, 22 VT Seva Youth Clubs across middle schools, high schools, and universities and more than 70 service activities organized till date just in 2025 alone! She reminded us that “𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬, 𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐰𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞." 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫: “𝐌𝐲 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫, 𝐌𝐲 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐭” - This year’s SUBHA theme honored Earth Day and emphasized the power of youth in protecting our planet. Through dance, music, and spoken word, youth performers shared their vision of a sustainable future, inspiring all to protect and cherish Mother Earth. 𝐒𝐔𝐁𝐇𝐀 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: A powerful 𝐒𝐔𝐁𝐇𝐀 𝐩𝐨𝐞𝐦, 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐝 by our youth, and performed by participants of all ages — showcasing unity across generations. A dynamic 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐢 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 performance electrified the stage. 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 beautifully captured the spirit of compassion, responsibility, and volunteerism that defines SUBHA. From captivating cultural expressions to empowering messages, 𝐒𝐔𝐁𝐇𝐀 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭.
