On Sunday June 7th, 2026, two VT Seva volunteers met at The Rise Thrift store and helped out a local business in the area by cleaning, organizing and distributing their own workshops.

We’re thrilled to share the success of VT Seva Maryland’s Annual Young Entrepreneurs Challenge, a 2-day event at Urbana Regional Library led by Keerthi Siripurapu, President of Feeding Hope Program. Day 1: Workshop – students learned the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and got hands-on guidance from mentors. Day 2: Competition – students put their ideas to work with professionalism, creativity, and energy that made the event truly special. It was wonderful to see community members of all ages come together to embrace wellness, mindfulness, and the spirit of service. From the peaceful yoga session to the positive energy shared throughout the event, the morning was a beautiful reminder of the power of community and healthy living. We are grateful to our yoga instructor Balaji Garu, volunteers, families, and participants who helped make this event possible.

The incredible women of VT Seva Maryland decided to celebrate Mother’s Day by giving back to the community they love and nurture every day! 🌿 Service in Action: Adopt-A-Road Cleanup 🌿 Led by Mrs. Deepa Parida, our dedicated volunteers spent Sunday morning clearing litter and debris to keep our community clean, safe, and green. A huge thank you to Branch Director Sobana Ji, Prasamsha Ji, Arti Ji, and Sandhya Ji for your hard work and leadership! ✨ Deepa Ji shares: "I had the privilege of leading this Adopt-A-Road initiative alongside such dedicated volunteers. Working together reinforced how powerful service can be — through teamwork and environmental stewardship, we make a real difference in our neighborhoods." WIHI VTSeva hosted a “Make It, Take It” reading kit program at the Ypsilanti District Library. We collected book donations at WIHI, which we then used to create kits with coloring pages and books for students at the library to enjoy! We had so much fun seeing kids and families color together and we loved reading the books with them!

On Saturday May 16th, VT Seva Houston volunteered at the Houston Council of the Blind. It was a memorable experience interacting with the HCB community! Our volunteers assisted during their monthly meeting by passing fruits, muffins, coffee, and water to the members. VT Seva Houston looks forward to volunteering with HCB again in June! On May 30th, VTSeva Chicago volunteers came together to reuse plastic bags into yarn for an organization called The Gratitude Generation. Using the yarn, they will make mats and donate them to the homeless shelter. Overall VTSeva volunteers made 8 balls of plastic yarn. Thank you to everyone who showed up and participated.

On Sunday May 31st, more than 30 youth and adult volunteers gathered at Thompson Park in Monroe to participate in our charity Walkathon. All proceeds raised from today’s event will go directly toward funding free cancer screening camps for women in rural India. Event Highlights: Location: Thompson Park, Monroe Turnout: 30+ dedicated youth and adult volunteers Cause: Supporting healthcare and early cancer detection for women in rural India Thank you to everyone who took the time to participate, walk, and support this vital health initiative. Your involvement makes a meaningful difference.

On May 31st, 2026, VT Seva Cary volunteers participated in Best Buddies, spending time with children with developmental disabilities through games, activities, and social interaction. Our 6 youth volunteers worked one-on-one with their buddies, helping create a fun, supportive, and inclusive environment. Throughout the event, volunteers encouraged participation, built friendships, and ensured that every child felt welcomed and included. The experience allowed volunteers to make meaningful connections while bringing joy and encouragement to the children and their families.

In May 2026, VT SEVA Detroit youth Board members collected around 150 pairs of gently used shoes to support VT SEVA Detroit Feeding Hope program. Collected items were carefully sorted by the youth leads to bag and ship them to *"GotSneakers"* organization. These shoes will help reuse, recycle, and donate the items to benefit children, low-income families, and the homeless in underprivileged countries. If these donated pairs are in Excellent condition, *"GotSneakers"* will compensate us with some $'s, and all funds collected through this drive will be donated to *VTSEVA "Feeding Hope" program*.

The 𝐕𝐓𝐒 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐏𝐥𝐲𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐲, 𝐃𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐢𝐭, came together with incredible enthusiasm and heart to create 1,248 DAV flowers in support of Disabled American Veterans, and every single flower represents gratitude, respect, and kindness.

On May 30th, 2026, VT Seva Cary volunteers assisted at the Durham Rescue Mission, helping support individuals in need through meal service and other assigned tasks. Our 6 youth volunteers and 1 adult volunteer worked together to ensure the event ran smoothly, serving guests with kindness and respect while assisting staff wherever needed. Throughout the event, volunteers remained engaged and contributed to creating a welcoming environment for members of the community. The experience provided a meaningful opportunity to give back and support those facing difficult circumstances.

On Monday, May 25, VTSeva volunteers came together to help clean the highway (Aptakisic Rd) adopted by VTSeva. Spending the morning picking up trash and helping keep the community clean, their hard work made a meaningful difference. Thank you to everyone who volunteered with us!

On May 23, 2026, VT Seva Houston proudly hosted a Graduation Celebration to honor our high school graduates. It was a memorable and joyous event that brought together families, friends, and community members to celebrate this important milestone. The evening featured inspiring and motivational speeches by our own Dr. Ranganath Kandala and Sri Vijay Jellidimudi, whose words encouraged our graduates as they prepare for the next chapter of their lives. The celebration also included fun-filled games, vibrant cultural performances by our enthusiastic youth members, and a sumptuous dinner enjoyed by all. We are incredibly proud of the accomplishments of our graduates and extend our heartfelt congratulations to: Amuktamalyada Panchangam Alekhya Sambaraj Nitya Tirumala Smahita Ponnapalli Tanvisha Sangaraboina We wish each of them continued success, happiness, and fulfillment as they embark on their exciting new journeys. On Saturday May 23rd, 2026 our VT Seva volunteers spent the day serving at the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK). The team worked together to pack three trays of bread and assisted in serving meals to approximately 100 individuals. Following the meal service, volunteers stayed to clean and sanitize the dining area tables and chairs.
