NFHS VTS held its first club meeting of the year! Members learned more about our mission and upcoming service events while getting to know each other through fun introductions and team discussions. We also encouraged everyone to brainstorm and share new event ideas to make this year’s projects even more meaningful and creative. On Saturday, September 6th, 2025, a group of volunteers came together at the Northern Illinois Food Bank to pack cereal boxes. Thanks to their teamwork and generosity, we were able to support more than 12,000 individuals in need! We are so grateful for everyone who joined us to make a difference. Your time and effort truly helped bring hope to our community.

Big thanks to our VT Seva volunteers who volunteered to the Houston Food Bank on September 6th, 2025! Together we packed 9,626 oranges, filled 11 pallets, and moved over 11,000 pounds of fresh fruit in just one day—what an awesome team effort!

We sorted packaged 5000 pounds of frozen baked food items that will be donated to families in need, supporting the fight against hunger in our own community! We all worked hard in packaging food to be sent out to over 140 partner institutions, such as food pantries, schools & and local community churches and groups, as well as maintaining a clean sorting environment.

𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝟏𝟕 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐛𝐬, 𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝟓 𝐧𝐞𝐰𝐥𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐛𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐦𝐢𝐝𝐝𝐥𝐞 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬, 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞𝐬, came together to share their ongoing activities and exciting plans for the next quarter. 𝐖𝐞’𝐫𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝟐𝟐 𝐕𝐓 𝐒𝐞𝐯𝐚 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐭𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚! 🎉🎉 It was 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲, 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐬𝐦, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐛 𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞. Every youth club introduced their Executive Board members and highlighted three core strengths that make their club unique. 📶💪 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭. Youth leaders openly discussed their challenges, accomplishments, and upcoming initiatives, while receiving valuable feedback, encouragement, and ideas from one another. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐣𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐮𝐩 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠. 👏 Overall, it was a constructive and empowering session, showcasing the values of leadership, teamwork, and service that lie at the heart of VT Seva! ✴️🌟✴️

On September 3rd, NFHS VTSeva hosted their annual Club Fair to introduce our branch to incoming freshmen and their families! Our members shared VTSEVA’s mission, service opportunities, and the impact of being part of a community dedicated to giving back. VTS Detroit YB Essential Worker Appreciation

In the month of September, VTSEVA Detroit Youth Board did an Essential Workers Appreciation project. The Essential Worker Appreciation Project was a meaningful initiative that engaged youth participants in creating personalized cards and small gifts to thank essential workers such as mail carriers, nurses, janitors, and grocery staff. The combined efforts of the youth worked to make this project a success. The photos capturing the hand-off between our youth and the workers shows the gratitude shared between participants and workers, showing how small gestures of kindness can create a powerful impact and spread positivity throughout our community.!
