Meal Packing Volunteering @ Rise Against Hunger
Our seven youth volunteers and adult volunteers worked together on 10/16/2025 to help package meals for those who are most in need within our community. Our volunteers showcased their commitment to ensuring that everyone has the basic right of having a nourishing meal to eat. Vt Seva is beyond grateful for the ability to work with Rise Against Hunger in Raleigh, to work towards a greater cause, and brighter future. Our volunteers had an amazing time, and we look forward to continuing this event over the years. They packaged over 40,000 meals which truly made a great difference! Thank you to Rise Against Hunger for providing our volunteers with the tools to make a change.

Sunrise Senior care Center Volunteering
Once again, Vt Seva Cary visited Sunrise Senior Assisted and Memory Care Center, where seven of our high school aged volunteers spent quality time with seniors. Our volunteers expressed their own talents by playing the piano, painting nails, making cards, and playing games. Our volunteers had spirited conversations, and made long lasting connections. Both the seniors and our volunteers had a great afternoon full of fun, and excitement. Our volunteers had an incredible time as they truly experienced the joy of forming new connections. Thank you to the Sunrise Senior Care Center for providing us with this opportunity, we truly look forward to continuing our work with you in the near future.

Volunteering @ Durham Rescue Mission
On Saturday, October 11th , VT Seva Cary continued its commitment to community service at the Durham Rescue Mission at the Men’s Campus. Ten of our very own youth volunteers and two adult volunteers dedicated their afternoon towards serving meals and offering support to individuals who are experiencing homelessness. Durham Rescue Mission is North Carolina’s oldest and largest non-profit homeless shelter. This is such a meaningful service event for many of our youth volunteers, as we have had numerous events since the very beginning. Vt Seva Cary is deeply grateful for the opportunity to work with the Durham Rescue Mission, and we look forward to continuing our service with them, for years to come.

Miracle Legue
On Friday, October 10, VT Seva Cary once again hosted another recurring fall service partnership with the Miracle League. Ten of our dedicated youth volunteers joined this inspiring initiative, which offers the opportunity for children with special needs to partner up with a youth volunteer, and play an exciting game of baseball. This pairing fosters unforgettable moments filled with joy and excitement. The Miracle League is committed to creating inclusive spaces where every child can participate. This program works hard to serve children with physical or developmental disabilities who may not have access to traditional sports leagues, breaking down boundaries. Our volunteers brought energy, compassion, and encouragement to the game, helping create a day filled with smiles, teamwork, and connection. VT Seva Cary is honored to continually support this mission and looks forward to future events. Together, we are bridging gaps and building a community where every child feels seen, supported, and celebrated.

Best Buddies
Throughout September 2025, VT Seva Cary 30 youth volunteers dedicated their Sundays to building meaningful relationships with special needs children @ Asha Foundation. For four consecutive weeks, our volunteers met for 1.5 hours every Sunday, engaging in heartwarming activities that brought smiles, laughter, and love. On September 28, we wrapped up the month with a beautiful day of celebration—filled with arts and crafts, games, music, and storytelling. These moments weren’t just fun—they were transformative. Volunteers and children connected deeply, shared joy, and created friendships that go beyond words. 🌟 Thank You, Volunteers! Your consistency, compassion, and enthusiasm made a lasting impact. Week after week, you showed up with open hearts and helped create a space of inclusion, warmth, and joy. Let’s continue to spread love, celebrate differences, and build a community where everyone feels seen, valued, and uplifted. 💫

Sunrise Senior Care Service
VT Seva Cary’s First Visit to Sunrise Senior Care: A Heartwarming Start! 🌟On September 28th 2025. 9 youth and 2 adult volunteers from VT Seva Cary embarked on a beautiful new journey—bringing joy, laughter, and companionship to the residents of Sunrise Senior Care. It was our first-ever intergenerational outreach event at this location, and the smiles said it all! 🤝 Building Bridges Across GenerationsOur young changemakers lit up the room with: Cheerful conversations and playful activities Genuine connections that warmed hearts A spirit of service that uplifted everyone involved From sharing stories to playing games, every interaction was a reminder of the power of kindness. The seniors felt seen and celebrated, while our youth discovered the importance of empathy and the joy of making a difference. Thank you to Sunrise Senior Care for welcoming us so warmly. VT Seva Cary Men’s Volleyball Tournament
VT Seva Cary’s Men’s Volleyball Fundraiser: Serving Hope with Every Match! 💙✨ On September 27, 2025, VT Seva Cary hosted a vibrant Men’s Volleyball Tournament to support our Feeding Hope initiative—providing nutritious meals to visually challenged children in India. Despite the weather, 15 enthusiastic teams came together to celebrate 15 Days of Feeding Hope through service, teamwork, and compassion. 🙌 Behind the Scenes Heroes A heartfelt thank you to the 12 youth and 10 adult volunteers who worked tirelessly throughout the day to ensure the event ran smoothly. From setup to scorekeeping, hospitality to logistics—your dedication made this fundraiser a true success! 🌟 Special Shoutouts Sarayu & Bharath — Your commitment from 6 AM until the final whistle set the tone for a day filled with positivity and purpose. Diaper Bank
VT Seva Cary Volunteers Support Dignity Through Diaper Bank Partnership On September 27, 2025, VT Seva Cary continued its meaningful partnership with the Diaper Bank of North Carolina, with 8 youth volunteers and 3 adult volunteers coming together to support families in need. Volunteers helped wrap an incredible 19,800 diapers and 200 menstrual napkins, contributing directly to the Diaper Bank’s mission of ensuring that every household has access to basic hygiene necessities that uphold dignity, health, and quality of life. The Diaper Bank serves families with small children who are living in poverty, working to eliminate the stress and hardship caused by diaper insecurity. Their work helps remove barriers to education, employment, and personal fulfillment—especially for caregivers who struggle to afford these essential items. VT Seva Cary is proud to sustain this partnership through recurring service events, allowing our volunteers to make a tangible impact in the lives of local families. Each wrapped diaper and hygiene product represents care, compassion, and a commitment to community well-being. We look forward to continuing this collaboration and deepening our support for families across North Carolina.

Durham Rescue Mission
VT Seva Cary Volunteers Serve with Heart at Durham Rescue Mission On September 13 2025, VT Seva Cary continued its commitment to community service with two impactful volunteering sessions at the Durham Rescue Mission – Men’s Campus. A team of 10 youth and 2 adult volunteers came together to serve meals and offer support to individuals experiencing homelessness. Durham Rescue Mission, North Carolina’s oldest and largest non-profit homeless shelter, has long been a partner in our service journey. Over the years, this has become one of VT Seva Cary’s core volunteering events, and we are honored to be consistently invited back to contribute. This time was especially meaningful, as our volunteers helped with one of the mission’s most essential services—serving hot meals to the men who find shelter and hope at the Rescue Mission. It was a powerful reminder of the impact we can make right here in our own communities. We are proud to stand alongside Durham Rescue Mission in their mission to uplift lives, and we look forward to continuing this partnership in the months ahead.
