VT Seva Detroit cordially invites you to the 10th Anniversary Celebration of RAAS 2025. This special event honors the resilience and achievements of visually challenged and underprivileged students.
Join us on Saturday, November 15th, 2025, at 4:30 PM at 25335 W Nine Mile Road, Southfield, MI, for an evening of music, dance, food, and entertainment. Your presence and support can help sponsor education and transform lives.

VTS Detroit - Fall - Adopt A Road event
On September 28, 2025, VT Seva Detroit volunteers came together for our Fall Adopt-A-Road event, working hand in hand to keep our community cleaner and greener. With great energy and teamwork, our youth and adult volunteers cleared litter, beautified the surroundings, and showed what service through action truly means. This initiative not only keeps our roads safe and pleasant but also spreads awareness of environmental responsibility. Every small step taken today adds up to a healthier tomorrow.

VTS Detroit - Troy IAE - Club Meeting and HOCO Decoration
We kicked off the year with our very first club meeting, where new members got to connect with us, learn more about our plans, and share ideas for future activities. Right after, our first group project brought everyone together to decorate for homecoming.

VT Seva Detroit proudly celebrated its 5th Annual Police Appreciation Day on Sept 20, 2025, at the Novi Police Department a heartfelt tradition that began five years ago as a small gesture of gratitude. Our volunteers — nearly 30 adults and youth — came together to serve lunch, desserts, and heartfelt “Thank You” cards made by our youth for the officers. Police Chief Erick Zinser and his team expressed deep appreciation for this annual moment of connection. We’re grateful to Mr. Kavikishen Kondala and Novi City Council Member Mrs. Priya Gurumurthy for joining us in honoring the officers for their service to our community.

VT Seva Detroit – September 20, 2025 Make a Blanket Day Volunteering
On Make a Blanket Day 2025 in Michigan, VT Seva Detroit joined hands with community volunteers to create blankets for children in local hospitals. This collective effort helped contribute to the making of 1,000+ blankets for young patients by Fleece & Thank you. Our team alone completed over 100 blankets, transforming simple fabric into symbols of hope, comfort, and care. The event not only provided warmth to children facing medical challenges but also inspired teamwork, kindness, and a deeper sense of purpose among everyone involved.

VTS Detroit - WIHI VTS Club - Positivity Mural for Suicide Prevention/Awareness Month
WIHI VTS Club conducted their first club meeting with their members. They created a mosaic mural to hang in school with the words "you are loved" made out of positive notes and positivity paper chains for Suicide Prevention/Awareness Month

VT Seva Detroit September Group 5 Remote Grab & Go Quality check Project.
Impact: With the help of VT Seva Detroit youth volunteers, Fleece & Thank You was able to quality check 98 blankets! This remote opportunity allowed our youth to bring kit bags home, 7 blankets each, and carefully review every one of them following the provided guidelines. Over the course of two weeks, VT Seva Detroit youth volunteers actively participated in making sure every blanket was ready to deliver comfort to children in hospitals.

Our team successfully folded 1,600 blankets and matched/sorted 96 blankets to be delivered to children in need. These cozy blankets will soon bring warmth and smiles to kids across Michigan at hospitals, including: Corewell Health DeVos Children’s Hospital (Grand Rapids) Hurley Children’s Hospital (Flint) Mott Children’s Hospital (Ann Arbor)…and more! We are deeply grateful to Fleece & Thank You for giving us this opportunity to serve. 🙏

VTS Detroit - NFHS VTS Club - Fleece and Thank You
NFHS VTS club members teamed up with Fleece & Thank You to package and tie blankets for children in hospitals, as well as label scissors for their upcoming “Make A Blanket” event! Thanks to our amazing volunteers, we tied over 40 blankets and packaged more than 225 blankets, all heading to over 20 children’s hospitals. On top of that, we labeled 2,000+ scissors for next weekend’s big event!

VTS Detroit - NFHS VTS Club - First Club Meeting
NFHS VTS held its first club meeting of the year! Members learned more about our mission and upcoming service events while getting to know each other through fun introductions and team discussions. We also encouraged everyone to brainstorm and share new event ideas to make this year’s projects even more meaningful and creative. We can’t wait to bring these ideas to life and make an even greater impact together!

VT Seva Detroit SEP 6, 2025 FORGOTTEN HARVEST VOLUNTEERING
We sorted packaged 5000 pounds of frozen baked food items that will be donated to families in need, supporting the fight against hunger in our own community! We all worked hard in packaging food to be sent out to over 140 partner institutions, such as food pantries, schools & and local community churches and groups, as well as maintaining a clean sorting environment.

VTS Detroit - NFHS VTS Club - Club Fair
On September 3rd, NFHS VTSeva hosted their annual Club Fair to introduce our branch to incoming freshmen and their families! Our members shared VTSEVA’s mission, service opportunities, and the impact of being part of a community dedicated to giving back. We were so excited to meet new faces, answer questions, and highlight how students can get involved. We can’t wait to see the energy and ideas our newest members will bring to our club this year!!
