Today September 13th 2026, VT Seva youth volunteers spent the day volunteering at the RISE thrift store, where they carefully sorted and organized clothing donations. Their attention to detail ensured that every item was in good condition and neatly folded.

Every step counts, and together we’re making a huge stride! 👟✨ Our VT Seva NJ youth and volunteers have collected around 300 pairs of sneakers and carefully sorted, paired, and packaged 250 quality pairs ready for their next journey! We are incredibly excited to partner with GotSneakers to ensure these shoes find new life and reach individuals and communities in need—bringing joy, comfort, and mobility with every pair. 🌍💚 A heartfelt thank you to all our wonderful community members, families, and youth volunteers who donated, organized, and packed these pairs. It’s amazing what we can achieve when we unite for a cause! 🧡🤝

On Aug 16th, 2026, a group of VT Seva volunteers met at The Rise Thrift store and helped out a local business in the area by cleaning, organizing and distributing their own workshops. Our volunteers helped out the store by volunteering to help the local business through the collective effort of 6 youth & 2 adult volunteers successfully helped clean and organize the store.

We had an amazing turnout today! The kids and parents came together and we made *295* peanut butter sandwiches and wrapped *1006* utensils, which coincides with the 70th Thirunakshatram Celebrations of our beloved Pujya Acharya, His Holiness Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji. Our event attracted a crowd of 20 kids and 6 adults. My initial target was to pack 250 sandwiches and 500 utensils, but we exceeded that thanks to our fantastic team effort. A warm welcome to our new youth volunteers who joined us today 👏👏!

Today, our VT Seva family showed up in a BIG way to help fight food insecurity right here in New Jersey! 🧡 A powerful team of 20 youth and 8 adult volunteers joined forces at ONE Project's 11th annual NJ Hunger Project. Together, we dedicated 4 hours of high-energy community service to help reach the massive goal of packaging 150,000 meals for low-income families. ✨ Today’s Impact by the Numbers: 👥 28 Passionate Volunteers (Our youth leaders led the way!) ⏱️ 4 Hours of non-stop, hard work. 🍲 ~6,000 Meals Packed by the VT Seva team alone! It wasn't just hard work—it was a fantastic, fun-filled event for the whole family, complete with great music, snacks, crafts, and an unforgettable community spirit.

At Robbinsville High School, VT Seva volunteers made a significant contribution to the NJ Hunger Project: Project One today. Their responsibilities included setting up tables, connecting and taping down extension cords, and displaying banners. They also ensured that meal code papers and packing bags were organized for each table, and concluded their efforts with a cleanup of the area and the stacking of empty boxes.

DreamWall Grand Opening VT Seva Volunteers played a crucial role in preparing for the DreamWall Grand Opening Dreams on Display mural event at Artworks in Trenton, New Jersey, on July 11th, 2026. They assisted with various setup tasks, including building tents for designated activity spaces and organizing tables for themed stations. Volunteers also prepared activity stations, packaged and sorted food, and helped organize event resources. Their efforts ensured a smooth and enjoyable experience for attendees. A total of 10 youth and 4 adult volunteers participated. In celebration of America’s 250th Independence anniversary, our VT Seva New Jersey youth volunteers took part in the nationwide American Leaders Infographic Project! Tasked with exploring the pillars of Education, Literature, and Academia, our team researched, designed, and highlighted visionary thinkers and writers whose words and ideas helped define the American narrative: Literary Giants: Mark Twain, Maya Angelou, Toni Morrison, Ernest Hemingway, Emily Dickinson, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Henry David Thoreau, James Baldwin, Zora Neale Hurston Educational Reformers & Thinkers: John Dewey, Maria Montessori, Benjamin Bloom, Charles William Eliot, Jonathan Kozol Civil Rights & Social Philosophy Leaders: W.E.B. Du Bois, Booker T. Washington, Cornel West, Noam Chomsky, Milton Friedman From pioneering progressive pedagogy to penning works that challenged our collective conscience, these leaders transformed classrooms, libraries, and communities across generations. A massive round of applause to our dedicated NJ youth volunteers for diving into American history, developing visual storytelling skills, and celebrating the power of education and the written word!

Montgomery Crossing Mom's recently organized a successful fundraising event on Sunday, June 21, in collaboration with Upper Middle School and High School students. The event was designed to support VT Seva's initiatives, with all proceeds and donations directed towards VT Seva's Feeding for Hope Program & Nethra Vidhayalaya. On Sunday June 7th, 2026, two VT Seva volunteers met at The Rise Thrift store and helped out a local business in the area by cleaning, organizing and distributing their own workshops.

It was wonderful to see community members of all ages come together to embrace wellness, mindfulness, and the spirit of service. From the peaceful yoga session to the positive energy shared throughout the event, the morning was a beautiful reminder of the power of community and healthy living. We are grateful to our yoga instructor Balaji Garu, volunteers, families, and participants who helped make this event possible.

On Sunday May 31st, more than 30 youth and adult volunteers gathered at Thompson Park in Monroe to participate in our charity Walkathon. All proceeds raised from today’s event will go directly toward funding free cancer screening camps for women in rural India. On Saturday May 23rd, 2026 our VT Seva volunteers spent the day serving at the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK). The team worked together to pack three trays of bread and assisted in serving meals to approximately 100 individuals. Following the meal service, volunteers stayed to clean and sanitize the dining area tables and chairs.

14 dedicated VT Seva NJ volunteers (10 youth and 4 adults) gathered at the Robbinsville Library to support neighbors facing food insecurity. This powerhouse team assembled 230+ PB&J sandwiches and prepared 600+ utensil packs! 🥪🍴 A massive thank you to our incredible volunteers for proving how much positive change we can achieve when we work together.
