Annual Walkathon for Free Cancer Screening

On Sunday May 31st, more than 30 youth and adult volunteers gathered at Thompson Park in Monroe to participate in our charity Walkathon. All proceeds raised from today’s event will go directly toward funding free cancer screening camps for women in rural India. Event Highlights: Location: Thompson Park, Monroe Turnout: 30+ dedicated youth and adult volunteers Cause: Supporting healthcare and early cancer detection for women in rural India Thank you to everyone who took the time to participate, walk, and support this vital health initiative. Your involvement makes a meaningful difference.

Supporting the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen

On Saturday May 23rd, 2026 our VT Seva volunteers spent the day serving at the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK). The team worked together to pack three trays of bread and assisted in serving meals to approximately 100 individuals. Following the meal service, volunteers stayed to clean and sanitize the dining area tables and chairs.

VT Seva NJ volunteers for Trenton Soup Kitchen TASK

14 dedicated VT Seva NJ volunteers (10 youth and 4 adults) gathered at the Robbinsville Library to support neighbors facing food insecurity. This powerhouse team assembled 230+ PB&J sandwiches and prepared 600+ utensil packs! 🥪🍴 A massive thank you to our incredible volunteers for proving how much positive change we can achieve when we work together. NJ Center Roots for the Future: Earth Day 2026

As part of VT Seva’s massive nationwide Earth Day initiative, our New Jersey volunteers rolled up their sleeves and got to work. We are proud to announce that the NJ Center planted 80+ trees, contributing to a greener Garden State and a healthier planet! Across the United States, 21 VT Seva locations united this Earth Day 2026 for a nationwide tree plantation initiative. Together, we planted more than 2,026 trees, creating a meaningful environmental impact and reaffirming our commitment to a sustainable future.

VT Seva: Utensil Wrapping Service Project

A group of VT Seva volunteers met at the Hickory Corner Library to prepare utensil kits for the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK). Through the collective effort of 8 youth and 4 adult volunteers, the team successfully wrapped 1,500 utensils

Cricket, Community & Compassion

Huge cheers for our young VT Seva stars Mihir, Arjun, Advik & Vasishth who knocked it out of the park this weekend! These young dedicated volunteers combined their love for sports and service by hosting a special fundraising event and served as powerful voices for change. Boys presented the VT Seva mission, highlighting how we empower underprivileged and visually challenged students. They shared how community support provides vital nutrition to children in tribal and blind schools. .

VT Seva returned to Arm In Arm food pantry on February 21st

On Feb 21st, VT Seva NJ returned to the Arm In Arm food pantry to keep the momentum going. Our team worked efficiently to pack 80 bags of essential groceries for families in our community. 🛒💪 Every bag packed is a step toward a hunger-free neighborhood!

Thirty VT Seva volunteers partnered with Loops4LittleOnes to master the art of crochet, creating handmade items for those in need.

On March 21st, 2026 30 of our amazing VT Seva volunteers teamed up with Loops4LittleOnes to learn crochet and hand-craft items for donation. Huge thanks to everyone who brought their energy and creativity!

VT Seva volunteers returned to RISE Thrift

On March 8, our VT Seva volunteers teamed up to organize everything from toys and board games to clothing and kitchenware. 🍽️👗 We loved helping this local gem stay organized and ready to serve the Hightstown community. Amazing job by our pairs for keeping the store's mission moving forward!

VT Seva volunteers assembled 220 hygiene kits and heartfelt cards at Lawrenceville Library.

Small Acts, Big Impact! On Feb 15th 2026, VT Seva youth volunteers gathered at Lawrenceville Library to pack 220 hygiene kits for neighbors entering homeless shelters. Partnering with @JerseyCares, we filled each kit with essentials and a hand-written card to share a little warmth and hope.

On Feb 8th 2026, 11 of our VT Seva youth volunteers took over RISE Thrift in Hightstown. From sorting donations to store maintenance, our teams worked seamlessly to support local families and promote sustainability.

VT Seva NJ teamed up with Arm In Arm

On Jan 18, VT Seva NJ joined forces with Arm In Arm to fight food insecurity. 🍎 Our 14 youth and 5 adult volunteers worked tirelessly to pack and distribute groceries to local families.

Project One - NJ Hunger Project

A family friendly way to package healthy meals for hungry children in our community. On July 20th, VT Seva youth and adults volunteered at the One Project NJ to help end Childhood Hunger which was a food packing event. The goal was to pack a total of 150,000 meals. VT Seva volunteers worked in two shifts. In total our volunteers packed 22 boxes all together, with each box containing 48 meals which is a total of 1056 meals. Volunteering at the food packing center was very rewarding. Working with others to help those in need felt great. Each box we packed meant a meal for a family. The teamwork and shared mission made it a memorable experience. Our team can't wait to go back and help again.
