VT Seva Dallas Monthly Appreciation breakfast for Frisco Police
On September 13th, the VT Seva Dallas team appreciated the services of Frisco Police officers by sponsoring lunch for them. The frontline workers appreciation program will be held on a monthly basis where volunteers will get the opportunity to express their gratitude for both Frisco Police officers and firefighters. VT Seva Dallas Adopt a Street at Flowermound
VT Seva Dallas conducted yet another street cleanup activity on the 28th of August in the city of Flowermound. We had a great turnout of volunteers who not only got together to clean up the streets but were also joined by a special guest along the way - a parrot, which cheered our volunteers on. These cleanup activities will continue to be held under the Adopt a Street Initiative on a monthly basis, so make sure to stay tuned in for future updates!!

VT Seva Dallas participates in 45th showcase of Anand Bazaar
On the occasion of Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, VT Seva Dallas took part in the 45th showcase of Anand Bazaar conducted by the India Association of North Texas. We set up several booths to spread the word about our organization, including community service opportunities, our goals and ongoing/upcoming projects. We are happy to announce that out of more than 2000 people who visited our booths, we got more than 215 people who registered to be a part of the organization. We will be reaching out to all of them in the next couple of weeks and look forward to engaging them.

VT Seva Dallas Monthly Appreciation breakfast for Frisco Police and Frisco Fire
On August 12th, the VT Seva Dallas team appreciated the services of Police officers & Fire Department officers of Station 9 by sponsoring breakfast for them. One of the highlights of the event was our volunteers being given an excellent orientation by Mr. Jeff White, one of the officers. The frontline workers appreciation program will be held on a monthly basis where volunteers will get the opportunity to express their gratitude for Frisco frontline workers. VT Seva North Texas Food Bank Volunteering
After almost a year and a half of no in-person activities being conducted, VT Seva Dallas resumed its volunteering at the North Texas Food Bank. We had about 35 volunteers show up as we packed over 6,319 pounds of making, resulting in over 1,395 bags of food for kids in need.

VT Seva Dallas Monthly Appreciation breakfast for Frisco Police and Frisco Fire
VT Seva Dallas volunteers visited both the Frisco Police and Frisco Fire departments as part of the monthly essential workers appreciation program. They delivered breakfast to the officers and got to have a chat with them regarding the recent events surrounding the school shooting in Uvalde. Overall, the event was a success as volunteers were able to broaden their knowledge on how the Frisco police department responded to the crisis in Uvalde, and how they plan on ensuring that the city of Frisco remains safe.

Earth Day
VT Seva Dallas ushered in its 15th Annual Earth day celebrations with Street cleaning activity at Frisco on 23rd April with ~70 volunteers, primarily comprised of children and youth.It was great to resume in person volunteering activity after almost 2 years. It was nice to see the Youth join their hands together in cleaning up the streets of Frisco.

Gifts of Gratitude
2021 Holiday season we took the opportunity to thank the essential workers by gifting them gifts made by special needs children. Special needs kids with the help of their teachers make these fine, handmade products (soaps, scrubs, room sprays, hand sprays, soy candles, luxury bath tea) with the highest quality ingredients.

Winter Holiday Drive
2021 The season of giving and what better way to serve our community than to give smiles. Collected a lot of items and then distributed them to the needy.

Halloween Candy Drive
The Halloween Initiative was a youth driven event and served as a candy drive, where volunteers cumulatively collected as much candy as possible to later give to army troops, as well as help raise money for visually challenged children.

VT Seva Dallas Youth volunteers raise funds to support COVID-19 Relief Aid
Four youth volunteers from Dallas - learnt about the hardships people are going through in India during COVID-19 second wave and extend their support for the relief aid. Krishna Charugundla (7th grade), Samanvita Meka (7th grade), Devayani Nagabhushan (7th grade), and Ram Bonthala (9th grade) live in Frisco and Plano, Texas. They have worked together and formed a bake sale to raise money for VT SEVA. They were able to donate $ 1000+ Taking them as an inspiration, younger siblings and friends Dhanwin,Tulsai and Abhiram hosted a lemonade stand and raised $ 150 towards COVID-19 Relief Aid. Its the intention fo them helping out and the encouragement of their parents no doubt is making a team of stronger volunteers for a better tomorrow.

VT Seva Dallas Appreciation Dinner for Fire Fighters
On Friday, June 25th, few volunteers from VT Seva visited Fire Station to treat fire fighters for their service. They were very appreciative and were enthusiastic about showing the team around and explained what a day is like for them. Youth Volunteers had several questions which they the fire fighters answered. 10 minutes into the visit, they had to leave on an emergency call. The youth volunteers got to see them in action as they got the call on speakers, and get ready to leave in a few seconds from the time they got the call. What was impressive is the cool demeanor they have as they were leaving for the emergency call with a fire truck and an ambulance. They had cool information and little activity kits for all the volunteers which they handed before rushing out on their emergency call. Youth volunteers made thank you cards for them. It was a first and great experience for everyone attended.

VT Seva Dallas Monthly Appreciation lunch for Frisco Police
On March 5th 2021, VT Seva Dallas provided lunch to 80+ police officers and staff at City of Frisco appreciating their services to keep us safe. We will be conducting this on monthly basis every first Friday of the month. Youth gets opportunity to thank the police, interact with them to learn about the law, services and get motivated to grow up as law abiding citizens. They also get to take pictures with the officers. We provide lunch to the officers at both the shifts (11:30 AM and 5:30 PM). Due to Covid restrictions, we can have only 8 youth volunteers per month at 5:00 PM CST to be part of this project. Adults (up to 10) can join us at 11:00 AM CST. Please read the experiences of the youth volunteers next to their single pictures with the officers.
