Jai Srimannarayana! With our Acharya's blessings and all your well wishes, we conducted our annual event - UTSAV on March 29th. We had more than 200 donors who attended the celebrations! We broke many of the first times with this event. The whole event was completely organized and run by youth volunteers under the guidance of Santhi garu, Kiran garu and all the Seattle EB! Youth volunteers highlighted all the great work they are doing within the local community. We had representatives from Sound Foundations NW who were the special guests for the night. This is the same organization where we were fortunate to support building 4 Tiny Homes so far through our Unity Cup cricket tournament we conduct every summer. On the global front, volunteers talked about their own personal journey including summer internships and highlighted all the 2025 achievements of Nethra and Jeeyar Gurukulam kids! It was wonderful to see kids reflect on their own personal journey through all this years in VT Seva and how they are able to connect to the impact they are creating locally and globally. Event though, we typically don't do any fundraising at this donor appreciation event, some of the donors pledged through the app! Thank you!

Volunteers helped paint and build Tiny Homes at Sound Foundations Hope Factory. We also donated $9,000 we raised from 2025 Unity Cup tournament. This will enable Sound Foundations to build 2 more Tiny Homes. Each Tiny Home gives support for 60 families over its 20 year lifespan. We are tackling homelessness in Seattle one brick at a time!

Our team—including both youth and adult volunteers—rolled up their sleeves and jumped into a variety of hands-on tasks: painting, caulking, insulating panels, assembling interiors, prepping materials, and more. It was a meaningful opportunity to learn practical life skills while contributing to a cause that directly impacts our community. Beyond the work itself, we also learned about the purpose of the Tiny Home Villages—how they offer not only safe, warm shelter but also stability, dignity, and a supportive community to help residents get back on their feet. Hearing our youth share their reflections afterward was truly inspiring; the experience deepened their understanding of homelessness and the power of service. This build was especially meaningful because the VT Seva team raised funds over the summer—through our Unity Cricket Cup and Walkathon—to sponsor tiny homes. It was wonderful for our volunteers to see these contributions turn into real, tangible impact. On August 24th, VT Seva Seattle conducted its annual 5K Walkathon, carrying forward the same spirit of compassion and service as the Unity Cup. The event was more than just a walk — it was a joyful celebration of unity, tradition, and purpose. From a laughter-filled scavenger hunt to the Utti challenge and the nostalgic game of Seven Stones, families, youth, and community members came together in an afternoon of play, connection, and service. Sharing stories over a picnic lunch, everyone was reminded of a simple truth: we serve with purpose, we walk together, we share love — no one is more, no one is less, we are one team, we are one VT Seva. Like the Unity Cup, the Walkathon supported our goal of building two tiny homes in partnership with Sound Foundations NW, turning every step into a pledge of hope and impact for those experiencing homelessness. We were also honored to have Barb from Sound Foundations NW join us for the occasion and present the VT Seva Service Awards for 2024, recognizing the dedication and commitment of our youth volunteers.

Today our VT Seva volunteers visited the Sammamish Police Department to present our Hearts for Heroes mementos and tie bracelets as a token of gratitude. The officers graciously gave us a full tour — from the holding cell and wellness rooms to trying on police gear and even sitting inside a patrol car! 🚓 They spoke with our volunteers about their jobs, shared advice, and appreciated our efforts to connect. One special moment came from a Sergeant who said he keeps 3 bracelets from VT Seva hanging in his patrol car — a reminder of the bonds we’ve built. ❤️ 🙏 Thank you to our amazing youth — Hemanth, Akshara, Avyukth, Achuth, Sathkrith, Shreya, Saaketh, Pranavn, Nihaal, Jay, Laya, Sai and our youngest volunteer Sragvi — for making this day so meaningful. We hope to continue this tradition for years to come, building bridges with those who protect and serve our community.

On August 15th, VT Seva youth proudly presented our handmade Hearts for Heroes mementos and bracelets to the Mill Creek Police Department. This heartfelt gesture was our way of thanking them for their dedication and service to the community. 🚓💙 A special thank you to Sushruta, Pranav, Arnav, Akshaya, Ramya, and our youngest volunteer Sragvi for leading with creativity and compassion in our very first Hearts for Heroes event at Mill Creek PD. 🙌✨ We’re also grateful to the parents who made time to bring their kids on a weekday — your support made this possible! Together, we handed over the beautiful creations our volunteers made and expressed our gratitude. It was truly meaningful to celebrate Independence Day by building bridges across our community and honoring our local heroes. ❤️🤝

August 15th, 2025 VT Seva proudly organized a 5-day Table Tennis Camp (August 11–15) in Sammamish, WA, led by youth volunteer Saicharan Vellanki, where every serve helped uplift underprivileged and visually challenged children’s education. The camp brought together high-energy training, engaging matches, and fun while serving a greater purpose — public health and education equity. All proceeds from the event went directly toward supporting the education of underprivileged and visually challenged children through VT Seva’s initiatives. A heartfelt thank you to all the participants, volunteers, and families who supported this cause. Guided by VT Seva’s mission, your involvement turned sport into service — proving that together we can make a lasting difference.

Executed by youth leaders Sathkrith Segu and Saicharan Vellanki, VT Seva Seattle proudly hosted STEM Week 2025, a six-day virtual program that brought together 100+ people, including highly qualified mentors, students, and community members, to explore innovation in AI, healthcare, and the environment. Throughout the week, participants: Explored AI foundations and applications with Dr. Sudharshan Raghunathan. Understood how AI can be applied in the environment, specifically pollinators, by Sathkrith Segu. Learned about breast cancer breakthroughs from Dr. Robert Wieder. Discovered how quantum machine learning can transform breast cancer detection and treatment in a session led by Saicharan Vellanki. Concluded with a Youth Innovation Showcase featuring inspiring projects from young leaders, including Akshath and Avyukth, who presented their innovative STEM solutions. This event proved how youth-led initiatives can inspire, educate, and drive meaningful change, aligning with VT Seva’s pillars of Education, Healthcare, and Environment. A huge thank you to all our speakers, participants, and especially to Sathkrith and Saicharan for successfully executing this impactful program and showing the true power of youth leadership.

On August 3rd, VT Seva youth came together to create handmade bracelets as part of our Hearts for Heroes initiative. Each bracelet was crafted with care and paired with a heartfelt message, turning them into meaningful mementos of gratitude. 🙌✨ In the coming weeks, these bracelets will be presented to our local heroes at the Mill Creek PD and Sammamish PD, as a token of appreciation for their service and dedication to keeping our communities safe. 🚓❤️ A big thank you to our youth for channeling their creativity and compassion into this project — a small gesture that carries a big message of gratitude! 🌟

On July 27th, the VT Seva Seattle community united at OSL for a successful food preparation/packing event. Thanks to our amazing volunteers, we prepared meals for those facing hunger. We're grateful for everyone who joined us in this act of service! Let's keep working together to support our neighbors in need.

The Unity Cup Cricket Tournament held on July 26 was a tremendous success! 🏏 Eight spirited teams went head-to-head in thrilling, nail-biting matches, bringing out the best of competition, teamwork, and friendly banter. Beyond the cricket, what truly stood out was the compassion that united everyone on and off the field. ❤️ 🏆 Congratulations to MVCC, crowned champions of this year’s Unity Cup! Thanks to the overwhelming support from our community, we raised over $6,000. These funds will go toward building tiny homes for the unhoused, in partnership with Sound Foundations NW, helping to change lives one home at a time. 🏠 🙌 A heartfelt thank you to all the players, sponsors, partners, and volunteers who made this event possible. Together, we proved that sports can inspire compassion and create lasting impact.

Seattle youth and adult volunteers came together to keep the Lake McDonald neighborhood clean and safe. This is our annual event and the road is dedicated to all the proud volunteers of VT Seva.

This weekend, our youth came together to create something truly special in honor of Mother’s Day! 💖 They designed personalized photo frames featuring a custom Mother’s Day visual tribute created by our youth board member Sathkrith Segu, beautifully reflecting VT Seva’s values of love, gratitude, and family. These thoughtful gifts were presented to their moms, capturing cherished memories in a creative and heartfelt way. In the spirit of giving back, the youth also made handmade cards for seniors in memory care centers. Each card was decorated with care and included a touching poem, sharing warmth and love beyond their own homes.
