Join VT Seva Tampa

VT Seva Tampa collaborates with Books For Africa to improve access to education for children across Africa by collecting and donating gently used books. VT Seva (Volunteering Together for Service and Education) is a nonprofit organization that empowers youth to lead service initiatives focused on education, health, and community development. As part of this mission, the Tampa chapter organizes book drives to support global literacy through Books For Africa, the largest shipper of donated books to the African continent. Community members are encouraged to contribute children’s books, which are collected at drop-off points and sent to African schools and libraries. Students and student ambassadors lead the effort, planning drives, coordinating collections, and spreading awareness, while earning volunteer hours and developing leadership skills. This initiative not only helps close the educational resource gap abroad but also encourages responsibility and socialization among students in the Tampa area. Sign up and start collecting the books. VT Seva Tampa Team volunteered at Feeding Tampa Bay with 20 volunteers and helped in sorting the food. Thank you all who joined today with us in serving the community. Thank you to all parents for the encouragement and support.

VT Seva Tampa team volunteered at local Metropolitan Ministries in preparing and serving food for the needy and sorting cloth donations in the Thrift store. A total of 14 kids and 4 parents volunteered today and kids had a great experience in learning and serving the community.

Youth volunteers from VT Seva Tampa Bay volunteered at Feeding Tampa Bay in sorting and packaging food. All together we sorted and packaged about 6000+ lbs of food. We appreciate all the contributions of youth and parent volunteers.

Volunteer Appreciation & Subha Kickoff event was very well executed. Atlanta youths spearheaded this event, MC the event, and presented VT Seva Mission & Vision, Subha kickoff, and Kahoot which was highly appreciated by all. Dr. Madhu Nemani welcomed all and shared her why of joining VT Seva and her visit to Nethra Vidhyalaya in July 2022. Hithesh Gazzala presented Atlanta 2021 & 2022 initiatives and projects which was highly appreciated by all. Afterwards, youths shared their experience of volunteering under VT Seva which was very inspiring & rewarding. We delivered more than 100 certificates to VT Seva Summer Camp students, youth tutors, and mentors. We acknowledged last year sponsors and they agreed to support the cause this year as well. Krishnakanthji shared inspiring messages and galvanized Atlanta youths. Subha kickoff provided 10 pledges to support the education of visually challenged kids. Our goal this year is to support the education of 125 kids. The energy, synergy of Atlanta youths and adults was very inspiring and worth appreciating.
