Meet Lakshmi. A Mother Fighting for Her Family's Health.
Lakshmi is a 38-year-old mother of three living in a remote village in Telangana, India. For years, she ignored the warning signs in her body - she had no access to healthcare and didn't know that early detection could save her life.
When Mahila Arogya Vikas volunteers arrived in her village with their mobile screening camp, everything changed. The free VIA test detected early-stage cervical abnormalities. Because of timely intervention, Lakshmi received the treatment she needed.
Today, Lakshmi is healthy and back with her children. She now volunteers to spread awareness in neighboring villages, helping other mothers get the screenings that saved her life.
