Atlanta Snowday
Many people consider Friday to be the best day of the week, but something made Friday, January 10th ๐๏ธ, exceptionally special๐ฉต. This day was a very unforgettable day for many Georgians, as snow ๐จ๏ธ has begun to fall for the first time in 7 years! This special moment ๐brought a lot of joy to youths, who utilized this day to create new memories๐ and spend time with mother nature โ๏ธ. The falling snowflakesโ๏ธ can symbolize a lot of different meanings, like peace๐๏ธ, uniqueness๐ช, and transformation๐. On February 3, 2025, 30 youth volunteers from Atlanta VT Seva participated in the Meals By Grace event, helping families in Georgia facing food insecurity. They sorted, packed, and loaded food items with dedication, ensuring children had access to essential nourishment. Itโs an initiative by Neel Irkal, Innovation Academy youth to bring awareness about the harmful effects of plastic and eliminate / reduce its consumption in day to day life. More than 25 youths attended this session and found it very informative and pragmatic. In this session, Neel gave a presentation on โPlastic Pollutionโ and later an expert from โGreen Cellโ also presented his views and insights on plastic reduction strategies and solutions. Thereafter, all youths created their own cloth bags from the used old t-shirts. North Forsyth High School Established
๐๐ To celebrate the 15 plus years of VT Seva Anniversary, a new VT Seva Youth Club was established on Feb 1st, 2025 in the North Forsyth Highschool in Atlanta. With this youth club, we have 15 VT Seva youth clubs in Atlanta ๐๐ It wasnโt easy for our youths to start a VT Seva youth club in their school but with their persistent efforts, passion for service, and never giving up attitude made it happen โ๏ธโ๏ธ This club is a unique collaboration between VT Seva and FBLA teams in which youths will participate in community service projects and make FBLA pragmatic models. To kick off their partnership, the two organizations came together for a meaningful activity - creating Valentineโs Day cards for the senior citizens of Phoenix Assisted Living. The event has not only strengthened the collaboration between VT Seva and FBLA teams but also highlighted the importance of giving back to the community through small yet impactful gestures!

VT Seva Atlanta Kicks Off RRR Project: Repurposing Books
On January 26th, VT Seva Atlanta launched Phase 1 of the RRR (Reduce, Recycle, Reuse) project. This initiative focused on repurposing old, used books by transforming leftover pages into new ones. The event received an overwhelming response from Atlantaโs youth, with around 50 students participating and collecting 325 books. The kids enthusiastically engaged in every step, from ripping out usable pages to cutting and binding them into fresh new books. It was a highly successful and productive activity, showcasing the energy and commitment of our VT Seva Atlanta team. Weโre proud of their enthusiasm and dedication to this meaningful cause and look forward to Phase 2 coming soon!

On January 19, 2025, 30 youth volunteers from Atlanta VT Seva participated in the Meals By Grace event, supporting families in Georgia facing food insecurity. With dedication and care, our team sorted, packed, and loaded food items, ensuring these families had the essentials needed to nourish their children. This initiative was more than distributing foodโit was about spreading hope and ensuring children could go to bed happy, not hungry. It was a humbling experience to make a meaningful difference in their lives. Together, weโre reminded of the strength of community and the positive change we can create when united by a shared purpose. We are proud to contribute to building a brighter, more compassionate future for families in need.

Weekend Yoga
VT Seva Atlanta is excited to launch "Weekend Yoga," a year-long initiative offering free one-hour online yoga classes every Saturday morning for all age groups. Led by Certified Yoga instructor Swamy Vendra, this program aims to make yoga an integral part of daily life. After the overwhelming response to our New Year's yoga session, we recognized the need to incorporate it regularly, ensuring holistic well-being for everyone. Swamy Vendra has generously agreed to guide us with essential training, making this initiative accessible and beneficial to all. Join us and experience the transformative power of yoga!

๐ VT Seva Atlanta Meet & Greet 2024 ๐ VT Seva Atlanta hosted an exciting Meet & Greet event on December 15th, 2024, bringing together a vibrant community of youth leaders and supporters. ๐ Highlights of the Event: 12 VT School Clubs showcased their achievements through dynamic presentations, reflecting their year-long dedication and community impact. Two newly established middle school clubs wowed everyone with their remarkable progress and enthusiasm. The program began with a warm welcome note by Dr. Madhu, who shared VT Sevaโs inspiring journey of growth, accomplishments, and future opportunities for 2025. She also introduced the hardworking team members who make these achievements possible. ๐ฅ Guests were then treated to a VT Seva video, showcasing impactful initiatives and success stories from the past year, followed by presentations from youth clubs highlighting their activities and contributions. ๐ก An interactive Q&A session allowed attendees to ask questions and engage directly with the youth. ๐ญ Guests explored VT Exhibits, featuring: Displays of youth club activities Registration booths for new volunteers Delicious snacks like candy canes and brownies ๐ To recognize outstanding contributions by School clubs, the following awards were presented: 1๏ธโฃ Alliance Academy โ Best Presentation and Year-Round Club Activities 2๏ธโฃ Hendricks Middle School โ Second Best Presentation & Activities (Newly Established Clubs) 3๏ธโฃ South Forsyth & Lambert High Schoolsโ Tie for Third Best Presentation & Club Activities 4๏ธโฃ Northview, Desana, Innovation Academy, River Trail, West Forsyth, Alpharetta School Clubs โ Consolation Prizes ๐ The event featured two energetic dance performances by youth participants, spreading joy and excitement among the audience. ๐ The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, appreciating the efforts of all participants, volunteers, and attendees for making the event a grand success. โจ VT Seva Atlantaโs Meet & Greet 2024 was an incredible celebration of youth empowerment and community service. Spreading Joy and Warmth to Seniors
On Dec 7th 2024 , VT Seva Atlanta youth created a memorable day for seniors at a local assisted living facility, spreading happiness and making heartfelt connections. Around 20 enthusiastic youths came together, showcasing their unique talents to entertain and engage the seniors. The program featured a variety of engaging activities like - *Performances*: Christmas carols, holiday songs, and mesmerizing dances that filled the room with festive cheer. ๐๐ *Interactive Fun*: Jokes, riddles, and crafting ornaments together brought laughter and joy. ๐ *Thoughtful Gestures*: Youth shared inspirational cards and thoughtful giveaways, leaving seniors touched by their kindness. The highlight of the event was the seniorsโ active participation. Toward the end, they joined the youth in singing Jingle Bells, ๐ ๐ clapping, and laughing, creating a warm family-like atmosphere. This initiative by VT Seva Atlanta beautifully exemplifies the power of community service, showcasing how small acts of kindness can touch hearts and build lasting memories. โค๏ธ

Today Atlanta VT Seva youths made cheerful holiday cards for the seniors of Assisted living ๐๐คถ ๐By making cards with thoughtful messages filled with inspirational qotes and cheerful holiday๐๐งโ๐ wishes, our youths have showed how much they respect and care about our seniors, aiming to combat their loneliness, and cheer them up during holiday time โ๐๐

Atlanta VT Seva youths participated in the Meals By Grace event on November 30, 2024 in which they sorted, packed, loaded food items for the needy families of North Georgia. During Holiday season(month of December)these families are in desperate need of food items to take care of their children. We are very happy to help the needy families Georgia so children can go to bed Happy not Hungry. Itโs a great gratifying experience for us ๐

Lights for Hope Northveiw
Many members from the Northview school club in Atlanta came together to set up lights and festive decorations for the winter holidays for a neighborhood. They partnered with the HOA of the neighborhood to allow them to set up the lights. Overall, they all had a good time setting up decoration for the upcoming holidays.

Food Drive
VT Seva Atlanta's Annual Food Donation Drive-Sharing Joy Through Giving From **November 1 to November 24, 2024**, VT Seva Atlanta organized its annual **Food Donation Drive Prada:n** to support individuals and families in need. The initiative witnessed incredible generosity from our donors and active participation by VT Youth. Together, we successfully collected and donated approximately **1,500 lbs of food** ๐ฅซ๐ to local food bank, providing nourishment to many in our community. This effort highlights the compassion โค๏ธ and commitment ๐ช of our Atlanta VT Youth, who are determined to make a difference and ensure that no one goes to bed hungry. Every contribution, big or small, plays a vital role in spreading hope ๐ and fostering unity ๐ค. At VT Seva, we believe that together, we can create a brighter, more compassionate future. Books for Africa
**VT Seva Atlantaโs Books for Africa Drive - A Huge Success!** On November 24, 2024, over 50 youth volunteers came together to make a difference through VT Seva Atlantaโs *Books for Africa* drive. Collectively, they gathered an incredible 1,500 books and 500 new notebooks for children in Africa. We are immensely proud of our VT Seva youth for their generosity and commitment to empowering African children through education. ๐๐ ๐ **Education is the great equalizer, and books are the foundation of a strong educational system.** For many children in Africa, the gift of books is truly a *gift of hope*. ๐ The collected items were delivered to the *Books for Africa Warehouse*, the only drop-off facility of its kind in the entire USA. This journey from collection to warehouse offered students a comprehensive perspective on their impact, emphasizing the significance of their efforts from *start* to *finish*
