VT Seva Atlanta Cone up for a cause
On November 21st, VT SEVA South Forsyth High School hosted our community fundraising event, Cone Up for a Cause, at Jeremiah’s Italian Ice on Peachtree Parkway. From 3 PM to 9 PM, students, families, and community members stopped by throughout the afternoon and evening to enjoy Italian ice, gelatis, and soft-serve while supporting a meaningful mission. At the counter, guests used the code VTSEVA, allowing 20% of each purchase to go directly toward our initiative. Our goal for this event was to raise awareness about the fight against drug abuse while also generating funds to support the impactful work being done at Emory Rehabilitation Hospital. Although the event maintained a calm and steady flow of visitors, each contribution counted, and every purchase — big or small — helped push our mission forward. The atmosphere was warm and encouraging, with volunteers greeting guests, sharing information, and fostering a sense of community involvement. The funds we raised will be donated to Emory Rehabilitation Hospital, where they will help support patient rehabilitation, treatment access, and ongoing recovery support services. For those inspired to extend their support beyond the event, additional donations can be made through Emory’s official giving page.🏥♥️ Ultimately, Cone Up for a Cause was more than a fundraiser; it was a moment for our school and local community to come together, enjoy something sweet, and support a cause that genuinely matters. Thank you to everyone who stopped by, shared the event, or contributed in any way. Your support helps us continue creating positive impact, one event at a time.

VT Seva Atlanta Crane Project
During October and November 2025, VT Seva South Forsyth youths led the 1000 Paper Cranes Project, working with youth leader Rathna Malapati and Wellstar North Fulton Hospital. On November 25th, all volunteers will come together at the library to sew the cranes into beautiful strands which will be used to decorate the Wellstar North Fulton Hospital in December.🏥 The tradition of dedicatedly folding 1000 paper cranes is a beautiful symbol of health, longevity, and good luck for all the hospital staff and patients, and it has been a great way for VT Seva Atlanta youths to give back something meaningful to their community. ♥️✌️ This project is extremely successful with 1100+ paper cranes created by over 30 youth in various colors. ❤️💙💚 We are very grateful for all of our youth for working hard on their well-crafted cranes and Rathna Malapati for her wonderful project idea, her leadership in project planning, and her design for the paper crane strand.
