What a wonderful afternoon on Saturday , October 12th, 2019. A bunch of smart ,witty, piquant kids showed their Public Speaking skills.
VT Seva Detroit hosted its 2nd Annual Public Speaking competition.
As one of our judges mentioned,
If you don't know how to express your ideas, it dies with you.
Public Speaking competitions give opportunities to learn how to express ideas in a convincing way. By participating in this competition these youths not only utilized the opportunity to become a good communicator but also helped the education of children in India. Yes, all the contributions from this competition are going to fund a child's education in India. Kudos to all our veteran competitors and I'm glad to see all the new competitors. All of the competitors did a great job and we are so proud of you all.
A big thanks to all of our wonderful judges, Mrs. Frame, Mrs. Boka, and Mr. Srikanth.
Mrs. Frame is a teacher at Webster Elementary School in Livonia, and she is our vetran judge. Mrs. Boka is the principal of Webster Elementary school in Livonia, and Mr. Srikanth is a management personnel from automotive industry, and he is another vetran judge.
We were so blessed to have these wonderful judges. Last but not least, without volunteers it was not possible to run this event. Kudos to all of our young volunteers Harish Jaisankar, Abhinav Suresh, Anagha Jammalamadaka, Abhi Jillelmudi, Rashmita Ragunathan & Oviya Jaisankar as well as all the adult volunteers Jaisankar Kannan, Venkat Pisipati, Vanitha, Swapna, Naga & Ajay.
