Our VT Seva Detroit youth volunteers spent the morning serving at the Capuchin Soup Kitchen in Detroit, an organization that provides meals and support to homeless individuals, low-income families, and senior citizens in need. Together, we served over 350 people! The group worked side by side packaging meals and assembling trays that were later distributed to underprivileged members of the Detroit community who rely on the soup kitchen daily. This experience gave our youth a new perspective on the importance of helping those in need while also highlighting the power of teamwork and compassion. We are very proud of our volunteers for dedicating their time and energy to make a difference!

Our volunteers — nearly 30 adults and youth — came together to serve lunch, desserts, and heartfelt “Thank You” cards made by our youth for the officers. We’re grateful to Mr. Kavikishen Kondala and Novi City Council Member Mrs. Priya Gurumurthy for joining us in honoring the officers for their service to our community.
