VT Seva Minnesota RagaLahari

VT Seva is pleased to host the "RagaLahari" event on April 19th Sunday.

"RagaLahari" is for everyone who can sing and play an instrument. This is an

opportunity for you to perform your vocal and instrumental music skills for a

charitable cause. All earnings are donated to VTSeva. You can learn more about our

efforts at http://www.vtseva.org. As the event draws near, the comprehensive

schedule will be released.

Event General Rules:

1. Registration Fee: Only one registration per entry

A. Individual or Groups of up to 3: $25 per person

B. Groups of 4 or more: $15 per person

2. Registration Ends By - 04/13/2025. Registration may close earlier if slots are

full.

3. Age - No age limit. Everyone that has a passion for the art are encouraged.

4. Dress Code: Please come in appropriate dressing (Indian Ethnic Wear, Business

Casuals).

5. Please be 15 min before the event starts to help smooth flow of the event

Music Rules:

1. Classical/Light Music/Western Solo: Duration shall be under 5 minutes

a. Items can be presented in either Hindustani or Carnatic style.

b. Please bring your own Shruti box.

2. Classical/Light Music/Western Group: Duration shall be under 10 minutes

a. Items can be presented in either Hindustani or Carnatic style.

b. Please bring your own Shruti box.

3. Classical/Western Instrument Solo: Duration shall be under 5 minutes

a. Items can be presented in either Hindustani or Carnatic style.

b. Participants must bring their own instrument

4. Classical/Western Instrument Group: Duration shall be under 10 minutes

a. Items can be presented in either Hindustani or Carnatic style.

b. Participants must bring their own instrument

5. Movie Songs/Instruments: Duration shall be under 6 mins

a. Film, Folk, or Lalitha Sangeetham only. Please choose songs with lyrics appropriate for kids and general audiences.
