VTSeva Austin partnered with Austin ISD to help students achieve success in school by providing a homework center staffed by community volunteers.
Austin ISD VICTORY program is designed for tutoring students in need of individual attention with their homework.VTSeva Austin volunteers have been tutoring kids 1:1 for the last 6 months with a minimum of 1 hr every week commitment from each volunteer. The program will resume again in August and continue for the whole academic year 2022-2023.
Registering to this program each volunteer will be trained and matched on a 1:1 basis.
The student/tutor pairs meet at regularly scheduled sessions online for a minimum of an hour each week to work on homework assignments and skills for which the student needs extra reinforcement and practice. Tutoring sessions are held in the late afternoon or early evening Monday through Thursday.
