Nurturing Growth: VT Seva Maryland - New Market Team Hosts Successful Plant Sale

The VT Seva Maryland - New Market team recently concluded its community plant sale, an environmental initiative that brought together local families to witness the beautiful journey of seeds growing into saplings. Thanks to the overwhelming support of our community, the event was a resounding success, raising a total of $120 for our branch's philanthropic goals.

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful parents and Lake Linganore volunteers who made this event possible. To the parents, your constant encouragement provides the foundation we need to create meaningful environmental experiences for our youth. I also want to give a special shout-out to the Lake Linganore Woodridge community volunteer team for their dedicated assistance in planning and organizing the logistics from day one.


As this was my very first time organizing an event, it has served as a major milestone that has given me the confidence to lead and inspire others. I am deeply grateful to Shobana Auntie for her mentorship, trust, and for providing me with this invaluable leadership platform. I also want to express my sincere appreciation to our adult leads - Sandhya Kakani, Prathibha Rani, and Prashamsa Muppavaram - for their unwavering guidance, support, and encouragement of our youth throughout the sale.


Finally, this event ran seamlessly due to the dedication of our youth volunteer squad. Sincere thanks to Ethan Joseph, Isheetha Taritla, Ishaan Krishnan, Abhinav Taritla, Neil Joseph, and Reyansh T. Your collective time, energy, and enthusiasm made a lasting impact, and I am incredibly grateful to each of you for making this fundraiser a reality. The VT Seva Maryland - New Market team looks forward to growing this initiative even further in our upcoming seasonal events.
