🎖️ Tribute to Bharat 2026 was a month-long celebration of India’s 80th Independence Day, bringing together creativity, learning, patriotism, and service across VT Seva Maryland.


A Parade of Pride, Unity, and Heritage



The Indian Independence Day Parade on August 15th, 2026 was a tremendous success, filled with pride, unity, and celebration. Led with energy and dedication by Akul Pallerla and Arjun Chintalapati, the event brought our entire community together to honor India’s rich history and the heroes who fought for freedom.


We extend our deepest gratitude to the Landsdale community and VT Seva Maryland for their unwavering support. Your encouragement, presence, and enthusiasm made this celebration truly special.


Three Branches, One Community


The Monrovia, New Market, and Montgomery branches came together to conduct and highlight this special 80th Independence Day celebration. Their collaboration reflected the strength of community and the true spirit of service.


Poster Presentations: Bringing History to Life


A huge round of applause goes to all the volunteers and children who poured their creativity and passion into the event. Their incredible posters, vibrant artwork, and thoughtful presentations on Indian freedom fighters brought history to life. Each child shared the story of a chosen leader with confidence, reminding us of the courage and sacrifice that shaped India’s independence.


Throughout August, the youth volunteers and the broader VT Seva Maryland team prepared a poster series dedicated to India’s freedom fighters. The entire team created the posters, and Youth Chapter Mentor Mridula Vasudevan thoughtfully brought the poster series together into the video below as a highlight of the month-long celebration.

Patriotism in Every Step


During the parade, all the volunteers proudly held the Indian flag and sang together in chorus. Their heartfelt voices echoed Vande Mataram and Jai Hind, expressing their love for Bharat and honoring the sacrifices of the nation’s freedom fighters.













Service Alongside Celebration


As part of the Independence Day activities, VT Seva Maryland collaborated with Landsdale HOA and the American Red Cross to conduct a blood donation drive—an inspiring example of celebrating freedom through service and helping save lives.



A Memorable Tribute to Bharat


The parade showcased cultural pride, teamwork, leadership, and community spirit. Thanks to everyone who contributed their time, talent, and heart, this year’s celebration became a memorable tribute to India’s journey to freedom.
