A Beautiful Day with Our Seniors

 The VT Seva Maryland team believes that meaningful service begins with compassion, connection, and a willingness to give back. Our monthly visits with seniors are special opportunities for youth and adult volunteers to share joy, creativity, and friendship.

This visit was thoughtfully planned and led by Anwesha Parida, whose initiative and dedication helped make the day memorable. Through engaging activities, heartfelt conversations, and shared laughter, Anwesha and the entire VT Seva Maryland team created a warm and welcoming experience for our seniors.

I’m so grateful for another wonderful visit with our seniors! ❤️

For this visit, I had the opportunity to plan the “Complete the Phrase” activity and bookmark craft. The answers to the phrases made us laugh, while the craft gave our youth and adult volunteers a chance to sit one-on-one with the seniors, create together, share stories about favorite foods, TV shows, and special memories. It was wonderful to see everyone participate, laugh, and connect.

A special thank you to Ms. Megan for helping arrange the visit, and to Mrs. Sandhya Kakani for bringing the New Market team and treats for the seniors.

A big thank you to our youth volunteers: Danish Pandian, Ratish Pandian, Reyna Sudarshan, Aryen Sudarshan, Keerthi Siripurapu, Sri Sanvi Totakura, Akshara Ganti, and Chetan Sai Kankanala for their enthusiasm and meaningful involvement.

Heartfelt thanks to our adult volunteers: Mrs. Lydia Rajan, Mrs. Swati Chava, Mrs. Priya Yadali, Mrs. Lakshmi Suneeta Totakura, Mrs. Ramya Ganti, and Mrs. Sandhya Kakani for supporting the activities and helping create such a warm environment.

One of the most beautiful parts is seeing that the seniors remember us. Every time we visit, they welcome us with hugs, smiles, and open arms. ❤️ It truly feels like visiting friends and family.

A special thank you to my mother, Mrs. Deepa Parida, for helping with scheduling and making these monthly visits happen, and to our VT Seva Maryland Branch Director, Mrs. Sobana Vasudevan, for her continued guidance and encouragement.

I’m so thankful for everyone who made this visit special. These moments of laughter, creativity, conversation, and connection are what make every visit so meaningful. 🌷❤️
